Cousins Barry Chase and Eric Chase are Chase Construction. Barry as the President and Eric Vice President. We've been in business for over 30 years and we trace our lineage in the area to the very first settlers of Wells, the Littlefields. After going to school and finishing training as a machinist, Barry started out in 1985 building spec homes with Eric.
We both were still holding down full-time jobs, building on weekends and evenings. In 1987, along with a small crew, we renovated a motel in Ogunquit, with our cousin Wayne Chase (now Shop Foreman) joining the company. The business continued to grow, our team started to expand, and we turned a corner in 1991 when we built our first high-end custom home.

We are firmly grounded in our philosophy that a space should be delineated only by form, function and the utility of living. To provide truly authentic results for our clients, we never adapt a prefabricated system to work for the space.

Because I was new to the area, I was apprehensive about finding the best firm to handle the renovations (added a bathroom and renovated all other existing bathrooms and kitchen) of my new home. Chase Construction came highly recommended to me by a good friend whose family moved from Boston to York County and who hired Chase Construction to handle the renovations of several of their homes.
From the beginning, I was confident I made the right choice. Eric Chase provided oversight for my project, and Emlyn Chase was the project manager. The pandemic presented unprecedented challenges with shortages

Our project was a demolition of a 60-year-old cottage to a brand new home using the original foundation. Chase Construction handled the entire project. The process was an awesome experience from beginning to end. All the contractors and Chase Constructions workers that worked on our property were pleasant, knowledgeable, polite, answered our questions when we visited (if we had questions), and always maintained a clean and safe working environment. The quality and workmanship were beyond our expectations. This project was a total success and we are so happy living in our new home. We would recommend
