Training designed for adults and all belt ranks over the Age of 13. These Classes focus not just on physical martial arts training, in also develops discipleship skills and strategies for Life. Classes and techniques designed for students over the age of 45. This Class focuses on both strength and body conditioning as well as Karate training, at a pace that is applicable to the senior generations.
Work hard and present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be A good worker one who does need to be ashamed and correctly explains the words of truth. Let them turn the other cheek to those who strike them and accept the insults of their enemies. And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind Let everything do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching.
Our certified health coaches will walk you through a simple program that works by balancing your blood sugar and the side effect is better sleep, fat loss and better energy. After you reach your weight loss goals, you will be led through how to maintain that loss and keep those healthy habits going for a lifetime.
We will be training on the beach from 10:00 am-1pm and then enjoying the rest of the day together. We will be going to Carpinteria State Park. My kids have acquired persistence, courage, self defense skills, and a positive self image all thanks to Sensei Rocky at Zanshin Shotokan Karate. If you’re looking for a fun and knowledgeable Sensei, this is the training you need. My introvert son has gained respect from his peers through his karate training. My extrovert son has learned how to be respectful and channel his energy into positive life skills. We are very grateful for Sensei Rocky and can’t thank him enough for how he has helped shape our children become their best selves.

Zanshin Shotokan Karate has been fantastic for my son who joined last fall. Sensei Rocky has a great balance of humor, christian wisdom, respect, honor, and self discipline. It has been a huge blessing for my family especially during this pandemic. We have seen our son enjoy learning karate, developing new friendships, and maturing under Sensei's leadership. I highly recommend this dojo or at least connecting with Sensei Rocky to understand more of what is offered.

My son attended Zanshin Shotokan Karate about a year ago for a few months. As a single Mom, I put my trust in Rocky to help guide my son and to help him focus. For the first month or so the experience was excellent. However, shortly after that time my son showed reluctance to attend class and would often come home crying after picking him up from class (I could not always watch him during class). My son's self esteem was deteriorating over the several weeks of classes. My son has ADD, which Rocky said he was a bit of an "expert" in dealing with and not to worry. My son has been going to Sensei Rocky for over a year and I have been lucky enough to watch almost every class during that time. Sensei Rocky is an amazing teacher. He treats each student with respect and dignity, while pushing each to be their very best. He has a unique ability to tailor his style so that each student can learn at their own pace while keeping the whole class in alignment of learning toward a common goal. Behavior in the class is consistent with Christian values, but you don't feel like you are getting a sermon. I can't recommend him or his teaching highly enough.

I am so glad we found Zanshin Shotokan Karate! At first, I wanted my son to take karate lessons to help with respect and obedience, but when my son and daughter tried it out...They immediately LOVED it and wanted to do more! Now, both of my kids take lessons and can't wait to go each week and sometimes, multiple times per week! My daughter has more self confidence and my son tries to be helpful and respectful. Karate has even brought my kids closer together. I am so blessed to have this in my kids lives and by the teachings that Sensei Rocky shares from the Bible that apply to all of our lives
