Hi, I'm Christina Prieto and I have been a licensed acupuncturist in the Central Florida area for over 14 years. I studied at the Florida College of Integrative Medicine, and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Professional Natural Health Studies and a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine.
Chronic pain, whether from a pinched nerve, sciatica, arthritis or other conditions can be very frustrating for the sufferer. It is often difficult to treat nerve pain with traditional medications as nerve pain does not respond well to prescription pain relievers, including narcotics. If you suffer from chronic pain and you are unable to find relief, you may find help by using alternative medicine treatments.
In addition to acupuncture and herbology, cupping therapy has been part of Chinese medicine for over 2,500 years. But it's become hugely popular after Michael Phelps was shown with the typical cup marks on his body during the Rio Olympics. Originally, animal horn was used for cupping, later on brass, ceramic, and bamboo cups were used.
Looking for an acupuncturist may be a daunting experience for some people, but it doesn't have to be if you know what to look for. The best way to find a good acupuncturist is to ask your friends and family for the name of a practitioner they've had a good experience with. But if that's not possible here are 5 important points to remember when interviewing an acupuncturist for the first time.

I started going to Christina 7+ years ago for severe allergies. Initially I was petrified of what I thought Acupunture was vs what it is. It was definitely one of the best decisions I have made. Not only was I able to get off steroids and allergy medicine but my daily headaches were gone too! I oretty much go to Christina with any ailment or complain and she "fixes" me. Christina and her staff are very helpful and truly passionate about their work. I have taken my kids and husband to see her and.my business partner also see her.

I cannot say enough about how amazing Christina and her team are! The facility is clean, the staff is friendly and the overall experience is unmatched. My husband and I did IVF back in 2016 and with the help of acupuncture we were able to conceive! What a blessing! Then just 7 weeks after giving birth, I was diagnosed with stage IV Colorectal Cancer. Acupuncture has been a life changer for me. It helps with pain, anxiety, digestion and just makes me feel good overall. And honestly its the most relaxing 45 min nap you'll ever take. I drive an hour to see Christina and it is so worth it! She's been

I have had extremely bad neck and back pain for years. Christina in two sessions totally fixed that. I tried her for generalized anxiety ....same thing much better and calmer. She is the most calming understanding therapist I’ve every meet. She listens as long as it takes and then homes right in on the problem. Her office is impeccable and wonderfully calm meditative music. She is a special soul !! With one foot in eastern medicine and one in western she has pulled me through to a new life path. Just quit looking for help she is the answer. Kathy
