My stylist is Steve, he brings "magic" to every visit. He is a perfectionist, has great style and is very charming. The shop runs like a fine oiled machine. Everything has great detail, and Loretta will… give you the best shampoo with the best products in town. So without further compliments, make your appointment today with Steve.

I was very disappointed today!
We had an appointment and when we got there I was told to wear my mask! I didn’t have so they provided one for me which was nice 👍🏻
But requested that my 7 yr old wears one too!
1- Kids under the age of 10 is not mandatory to wear a mask!
2- my son can’t breath his own breathe as it’s not healthy and his cardiologist told us not to wear it!

I haven't had a hair cut since the pandemic started. More than needed it. New to the area and looking for a new hair stylist. In comes Amanda. She was amazing! I'm not a girly girl and don't know all the terms for everything. She understood all my vague directions and cut my hair better than anyone before.
The one thing I didn't like was the tip had to be cash. I don't carry cash. No one said that when I booked the apt. Luckily I had something in my car that my boyfriend left in there the night before. Not Amanda's fault but now I know for next time.

I'm a former local who happened to be in town for a week or so. I do almost nothing to my hair, although lately have been in the mood to have my curls blown out. With the chaos of the pandemic, it's hard to know what is open, and then what feels safe in terms of protocol, cleanliness, etc. While making a very necessary visit to the ice cream shop next door, I noticed Salon Lou. The shop was closed, so the following morning I left a message requesting a call back. I couldn't go any longer without her!! I missed and her excellent care on my poor feet. It's been 2 years since she moved further west that's not in my commute area for mani and pedi but I've been lost without her. Her is Crystal formally of Red Door which was my bi-weekly go to for superb services and semi therapy sessions! I had no choice but to make the 41 minute drive to Warrenton and boy was it worth it!! Cute shop, upon entry Crystal greeted me, offered me snacks and a beverage. She remembered my desire for cookies . The station was set up and ready for me to soak immediately

My first experience at Salon Lou was today with Crystal! The ambiance here is super nice. Jordan checked me in and did my shampoo - she did a great job! Then Crystal cut my hair and styled it. She was cautious when cutting to make sure she didn't take too much (I like my long hair!) and gave me tips for styling and hair care. I would definitely come back!

I had the best salon experience of my life here yesterday. Sometimes salons can feel a little uptight to me and not so welcoming. Salon Lou felt warm and friendly and Crystal was creative, talented, & authentic. She steered me towards something a little different than what I had planned ... and so much better. She's a pro, knows her craft, cares about the details. She also struck me as intuitive & kind, fun to chat with and thoughtful. Thanks so much, Crystal! I'll definitely be back.

Aubrey is fantastic at shampooing which is a rare and much appreciated skills.
Taylor, my stylist, was adorable and gave me the exact color I was looking for. Easy to talk to. Took her time and made me feel like her only client.
And an added bonus-- they sell Moroccan Oil products! Plus, the prices are reasonable.

I can't say enough nice things about this place; very clean, nicely decorated, wonderful service and reasonable prices for professional work. They styled my hair and touched up my color beautifully. They also washed and styled my granddaughters hair with no complaints from her- she NEVER lets anyone she doesn't know touch her hair! The staff couldn't be nicer. Thanks for a wonderful experience!!

I went to see Lori, based on my friend's (fabulous) hair, who goes to her too. She successfully emulated my friend's cut on me, and spent a lot of time making my hair look fabulous enough to go out on the town that night!
Also to note, they don't have "shampoo girls" - Lori is the owner, and she was the one who washed my hair, as well as cut it. I guess that's how it's done in a small salon, which isn't a problem, just a surprise!
Lost a star for not offering me a drink...maybe that's another aspect of a small salon. But they should certainly have magazines
