Newark Pediatrics has been providing quality healthcare to families from Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey for over 40 years. Our pediatric practice is dedicated to providing warm and personal medical care, while helping you enjoy the experience of parenthood.
She received her medical degree from Hahnemann University, Philadelphia, PA and completed her pediatrics residency at Thomas Jefferson University/Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children. She is board certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Modi's special interests include asthma and food allergies, infant development, and adolescent medicine.
Newark Pediatrics is currently accepting new patients to our practice. We'd like to take this opportunity to provide some information to introduce you to our practice. Because your family's healthcare choice is an important decision even before your child is born, we offer complementary "prenatal visit" with one of our doctors.
Well child visits are more important than you may imagine. These detailed, comprehensive appointments allow your doctor to evaluate your child's growth, development, and general health. It also gives your family an opportunity to ask questions. With the help of regular well child visits, your child's doctor can often detect and address health problems before they become more serious or chronic conditions.
We offer same day access for your sick or injured child. We make every effort to schedule these appointments with your primary doctor. If he/she is not available, you will be given an appointment the same day with one of our other physicians. We have separate well and sick waiting rooms to help avoid the spread of infections.

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Walker since birth, she is 14. I followed him from Limestone and will never bring my daughter to anyone else. My daughter is so comfortable with him but makes sure we are both comfortable as well. I have NEVER EVER run into a problem with the staff. The front desk staff has always been so kind, compassionate, and friendly. If I ever had a problem with billing, they either corrected it or worked with me. I always suggest Newark Pedatrics for new parents.

I have 2 children (now 4 and 11) that Dr. Walker has cared for since birth. He has always been the most spectacular and patient doctor. Helpful even when we were out of town. He truly understands a child's perspective. We are sadly moving away and wish we could take him with us. Dr. Stewart is also very kind and knowledgeable, sweet man. Some of the office staff could benefit from customer service training. This is my only reason for not giving 5 stars.

Dr. Stewart is the best pediatrician I've ever had. He is very thorough, comforting, and sweet. He's older and very wise. I love that he relies on both old school and modern medicine. It's nice to have someone who takes the time to ease new parent jitters and give you confidence before you leave the office. I have met with Dr. Walker twice he is also a good pediatrician. He is friendly and knowledgeable. The front desk is okay could be more friendlier. The on call pediatrician system is amazing they call you back in a reasonable timeframe. The office is a bit outdated but inviting.

We have five children ranging in age from 12 to 18, and have seen Dr Stewart for 18 years.My oldest daughter switched to Dr Modi as a teenager because she wanted a female. The physicians are phenomenal; always professional and very caring. The front desk is great: in all the years have never had a problem getting a same day/sick appointment, and they are never too busy to answer a question. Dr Stewart always takes his time with the exams and is very thorough, a skilled clinician. I could not imagine my children going to another pediatrician, and I have been in healthcare for 29 years.

Dr. Stewart is my sons Doctor since we moved here from 1/2015. those ladies at the reception rarely smile but I feel like they're okay. I like dr. Stewart because he is an old man and should have many experience with kids. He always kind and nice. my sons insurance have some problems and they cannot get the claims. but they didn't reject us at first. now, have been a year I guess. I'm still trying to fix it. I called 2-3 times. let them correct my sons birthday and gender. still in progress. God!

I have 2 children and they have been patients there almost 9 years. I'm very happy there. Never had a problem there. In fact I'm happy my friend referred them to me. We started off with another doctor that I loved! She left due to health issues. We now have Dr.Walker. He's very good with my kids! Dr. Stewart has helped us a few times, he's very nice, knowledgeable, and comforting. The office is dated but that's not why I go there. I recommend them to anyone who needs a pediatrician.
