Lorrain Doucet has 34 years of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist. In 1982, She graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Over half of her career, she ran her business Physical Therapy Specialists of Baton Rouge, LLC. Lorrain's passion originates from her years as an athlete.
In 2012, Megan Mackay received her credentials at the Louisiana Institute of Massage Therapy in Lake Charles, LA. Her background working with many Physical Therapists, as well as her natural intuition for holistic healing, has provided her with a unique, and advantageous skill set. She began her journey within the healthcare industry through Massage Therapy school.
Out of network simply means that Omni Therapy does not have a contract with any health insurance companies. With out-of-network services, there is a set price every visit. This means that there are no surprise fees, no inconsistent co-pays, or unexpected bills in the mail. Another advantage to out of network providers, compared to in network, is the 'shared treatment' versus the one on one treatments.
Our services are different to most physical therapy practices. We spend a full hour with you and do not rely on any assistants to work with you- you receive one-on-one care for a full hour. To be able to provide this quality, we have chosen to be an out of network provider for all insurances. We will provide you with an invoice so that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement from your insurance.

There is no one more knowledgeable as a PT than Lorraine. Lorraine has changed my life. I am able to do and keep doing things physically that I could not even do in my youth (once we straightened out all of my bad body mechanics, which was quite an undertaking that she and my trainer took on). It is amazing what you can do physically when you have someone as knowledgeable as Lorraine getting you well, then guiding you and getting you on the right track and then keeping your body running smoothly.

I have been a patient of Lorrain’s for many years.
The first time she treated me was following two car accidents in two days, to say I was in pain was an understatement. She worked with me for several weeks and I was able to return to my normal routine. I continue to use Lorrain for pain relief, after having a mini stroke, encephalitis, and Lupus. I always get immediate results.I take no pain medicine. I would recommend Lorrain to anyone seeking the services of a skilled and compassionate physical therapist. She has a God given talent and knowledge in treating and healing of the human body.

As an athlete, I struggled with recurring injuries. I tried a variety of therapies with little success. Lorrain was able to correct my mechanics to prevent re-injury. She was also able to provide a plethora of therapies including needling, scraping, and light therapy to expedite the healing process.
