Services
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Dr. Wendy Kashenider graduated from Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Originally from Westland, MI, a suburb of Detroit, she spent her first year of practice in Livonia, MI. She then moved to the DeWitt area in 1999, where she practiced in South Lansing and Eaton Rapids for the next four years.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. For your convenience, drop-off' appointments are available.
We are lucky in the mid-Michigan area to have two good options for emergency/after hours care for your pet. Our doctors are confident in the care given at both of these facilities. Both are open 24/7/365. We have chosen to recommend these facilities due to the quality of care they can provide, and how they work closely with us to be sure we are aware of your visit with them, so we can coordinate the best care for your pet.

We recently had an emergency with our 7-1/2 week old puppy and Dr. Wendy Kashenider was recommended to us from a good friend. They worked us in on a last minute basis and took great care of the pup. The care received from Dr. Wendy was top notch and we received 2 phone calls to update us along the way. The staff was great at the drop off, pick up and all phone calls. Not the way we planned on starting our journey with this GSP, but we have found the Vet office that we will be seeing for many years to come. Thank you all for the wonderful experience! My family’s been bringing our pets here since I was a kid. Now as an adult, with a dog of my own, I never had any doubt where I’d be taking him. Every member of the staff is so great with Jax, and they always… make us feel so welcome. He’s needed a number of vet appts since I got him as a puppy, and he’s always excited to go an see his friends at DeWitt Vet Hospital!

I visited the first time on February 4th 2020 with an emergency. My cat Blaze could NOT breath and he was black and blue. Dr. Wendy and staff did everything they could! They were very friendly, nice and… comforting. We ended up having to put my baby boy to sleep and they were very considerate and compassionate! Even helped us without any cash down because we had no money at all at the time. Im so thankful for them and their pricing is great! 100% recommend.💜🐾💜🐾💜🐾💜

This clinic takes advantage of people. A family member of mine had to put his dog to sleep and to put his dog down it cost $60, but you were not able to be there with them. If you wanted to be there with your pet when they are put to sleep, it cost $120! That is out right preposterous. It is not right or kind at all to take advantage of people like that. This is a moment to be grieving and remembering the member in your family, not to be used by getting more money of you just by wanting to be there for your pet. I would not recommend this office at all!

These people are awesome. For eleven years, they helped us care for our own canine companion-beginning to heartbreaking end. Then, yesterday, at nearly 4pm on a Friday (and also the eve of their office party), they compassionately scrambled to locate the owner of a nearly blind elderly dog that I found lost in the snow Simply the best!

Dr. Carrie had such compassion and was such a blessing when we took our very sick, 16 year old cat in. She made sure our sweet cat was comfortable and gave us such comfort and reassurance. They also gave us a plaster/plaque with our sweet Fairway's paw prints. Thank you Dewitt veterinary hospital and Dr. Carrie.

I recently moved back to the DeWitt area and was looking for a veterinary clinic to take my pet rat to for a possible upper respiratory infection. When I lived in the Ann Arbor area I always took my rats to Animal Kingdom and had great success.
I called Zeeb's Pet Clinic in DeWitt, my family has been taking our dogs their for years, to see if they would see a pet rat. No-go. But they recommended DeWitt Veterinary Hospital. When I called DVH they couldn't get me in until the next afternoon. I made the appointment and inquired what the visit fee would be. $44 for a check-up.
$44 is
