I love my Kaizen Athletics Gi so much, I purchased another one from here. This time white AL1.
The gi is super economical and fits perfectly. The best bang for the buck gi there is. I am not interested in any fancy or expensive gi.
Will the guy who works the front is awesome and super friendly. William works there M-F and is a super knowledgable guy when it comes to products and famous Jiu Jitsu players. Thanks for looking out Will!

I love Budo Videos and these guys have pretty much EVERY martial arts DVD/video ever created.
I have also had the privilege of training at the headquarters with Budo Jake and it is a huge place with an amazing staff. There's not a better place to get a Gi, DVD, patches or anything related to martial arts!

I must say, my request are not necessarily simple but with Will's awesome customer service and patience, I was able to get my request fulfilled with the help of Will. Bought a Tatami GI. He recommended a few others that were on the cheaper side: he definitely gave me advice as far as what color I should have if I plan on competing. Etc
I wish I knew his name.

As someone who is a complete newbie to BJJ, and also as I was shopping for my son, these guys were awesome to deal with. After placing my first initial order that wasn't correct, they were extremely reasonable about not only accepting a return, but spent some quality time on making sure that I got the correct product in the correct size.
Kids Gi's don't have a universal size system, each one is different by brand. They were able to compare several other sets and got him one just on the money. They were very patient and answered all my questions. I am ready to go back! Thanks again

That was fast.
The previous review carrying the rating of 3* was on account of their lackluster CS in regards to overselling their items, specifically their Budo Bargains. Oversells happen; I hoarded art prints for a long time. I know of brutal oversells that have left hundreds of people irate over them. I have great tolerance for them because of this.
It really just requires quick action from the seller/vendor. No big deal.
Well, the latest Budo Bargain I purchased was oversold. But instead of handling it like they did for the Bad Boy kimono one from last year, I was SWIFTLY contacted via

Most martial arts supply stores are centered around BJJ. Really hard to find judo gear. Needed a new high-quality belt so I dropped by. Guy working was cool about letting me try on different sizes till I got the right fit.
Don't get me wrong, they definitely have a ton of BJJ stuff. But it's nice to see somebody carrying judo gis/belts in a country that doesn't exactly have the highest participation rate for judo.

Whether you're looking into purchasing Instructional dvd's, Kimonos, Boxing Gloves, etc., they have it all at reasonable prices.
Don't be fooled by how small the storefront is. All of the real merchandise is located in their warehouse, which is a walking distance away for the clerk. Just be forewarned, you may end up leaving broke, haha.

The only way to get ahold of the shop is through a 1800 number with a recording, it said they are open on sundays so i drove an hour down there to find they are in fact closed. Needless to say i was upset. So i called again during the week and managed to get a person on the line. When i told them about the problem he didn't off anything in the way of making it up to me, just an insincere apology. Take your money elsewhere to On the Mat or any other store in socal.

I foreswore writing any more Yelp reviews, but I really gotta write this one because I was granted such impeccably excellent service, I really want to help the business. Why? Because Budovideos is here for the grappling community! I'm a tall, lanky judo player with long arms, and as any judo player would know, that's the kiss of death when it comes to shopping for gi's outside of Europe. Therefore, I absolutely must try judogi's on before I buy them, because few gi's available in the North American market fit my body type properly.

This place is super awesome. I've gotten 3 gi's here and a ton of MMA gear. This is the only MMA store that I shop at. Don't be deceived by their "small" store front. They have a warehouse in the back and if you can't find something you're looking for, chances are it's somewhere in the warehouse.

The two owners not only are businessmen but they are great fans of the sport and they both train as well so they know the needs and wants of the BJJ'er or the MMA'er. This place, OTM, and Jiu Jitsu Pro Gear are the trifecta of MMA shops.
