Classic Fight Team
We are a martial arts academy, specializing in Muay Thai/kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu and MMA in Fountain Valley, California. In the fighting world, Classic Fight Team is known for its technical aggression and pressure style fighting. In the community, we are recognized as a family oriented, team driven, goal reaching establishment.

What is Muay Thai and how are we different? Muay Thai is the art of 8 limbs. It is a combat sport started in Thailand that uses stand up striking along with various clinching techniques. Very similar to kickboxing, however, Muay Thai allows the use of elbow strikes. Our striking style is a more fast-paced aggressively technical pressure style of fighting compared to most traditional Muay Thai gyms.

Very good gym. Primarily a muay thai gym but Open mat is a fun experience if you want to test out the gym for jiu jitsu. Nice little family of fighters and is very personal. If you want to get great instruction and have some good rolls I highly recommend at least trying it out because you will fall in love quick.

The best martial arts dojo I have ever been to and I’ve been training since I was age 6. This is where martial artists find their home.

I had just moved back to California and gotten out of the army. I wanted my physically abilities and mental toughness to keep being tested. My brother and I started training here 2 weeks after moving back and we haven't left ever since. This gym is filled with great coaches and fighters. It's also located right next to 10th Planet Jujitsu and Raw Talent Boxing. I call it The Compound. The combination of all three gyms bring all kinds of chill, motivated, and hungry individuals. All levels of experience and ages are welcomed. Martial Arts made my transition into the civilian world a lot

I love this gym. From the people, to the atmosphere, to the classes, down to the pricing. It's all very personable. The owner, Tyler, is always there which makes it a very familial type of feel to it. Not a cold, corporate type of feeling when you walk in. Everyone knows everyone and everyone is cool with everyone. I took the 7 pm beginners class on Tuesday/Thursday with Coach Diego even @8 months pregnant and still felt capable and welcome. I truly love all the coaches and everyone who trains there. It doesn't matter if you just want to get a workout in, to the people who train and fight

Been going to classic for over year. Being not so athletic and coordinated I was able to find a home here. Coach Tyler Wombles is hands down the best coach I've ever had. The gym is amazing and all the students are awesome, no big egos whatsoever. The other Coaches there are equally amazing I recommend this place to anyone.

If you're serious about learning Muay Thai this is where you want to be. I have been training with Coach Tyler for a little over 8 years now. The instruction is top knotch and the environment promotes success, whether you're goal is to one day challenge yourself in the ring, or just get in shape and learn a martial art. Everything you learn here will not just apply to your journey in Muay Thai, but in life as well. You will learn the values of discipline, diligence, integrity, honor, confidence, and respect.

WOW this place is amazing. Wish I had found it sooner but sadly I'm moving out of the area and this is one of the places I will sorely miss.

It's located just off the 405 freeway which is perfect because I would usually train right after work. I was looking for a place that would accommodate my late work schedule and Classic offers late evening and mid morning classes but they also offer private training to fit your busy schedule or if you are just looking for specified training. DON'T let their name scare you. Yes, they have a "fight team" but you don't have to

You won't find a gym with such swag and authenticity like Classic Fight Team. So it's a small gym in Santa Ana, as soon as you make a right into the plaza, it will be to your left. You can't miss it, it literally has Coach Tyler on front of it.

Now, don't judge a book by it's cover by the size of the gym. Tyler is a young, even though he's always referring to himself as old, swaggalishish (not sure if I spelled that right), authentic, and down to earth coach. He has great tips and fluidity. He's constantly paying attention to every detail and will be quick to

False advertising. I went here a while back to try out a Muay Thai class. Problem is, it is not Muay Thai but Chute Boxe. I don't have an issue with Chute Boxe, but I came for what they advertised, Muay Thai, not another art. Yes, it is similar but not the same. Too bad that some people don't understand the difference or think it is okay to use the two interchangeably. So just a heads up for everyone who is looking for the Thai National Sport, keep looking as you won't find it here.

Everyone that trains there is family and they are always welcoming to strangers. Coach Pat can eat a lot of chicken nuggets quickly and he would love for you to ask him about that.

I am prepping for my second MMA fight. I am honored to have met Tyler Wombles. I just joined his gym recently to improved my stand up. Very nice guy, humble, soft spoken and teaches high caliber Muay Thai. I've been here for a few days and I've already been humbled by my teammates on how technical they are and I'm improving my game. His facility is good size and enough to house plenty of fighters. Tyler is a black belt in Muay Thai and lives up to the honor and tradition of the sport. He truly is one of the best coaches I've had and will be a high profile name in the world of

I'm fortunate to have met Tyler Wombles through Classic Fight Team's connection with Triunfo BJJ/MMA. Tyler is a world class Muay Thai instructor, able and willing to teach pro fighters, amateur fighters, and beginning students. All is right when you're getting great instruction, hitting pads/sparring with cool people, and Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" is blasting through the gym.
