Optimize was founded in 2017 by Physical Therapist, Abby Rehberger. Optimize started in a single room therapy office where they performed treatments and sports optimization courses relying on renting nearby fields and gymnasiums. For 3 years Optimize traveled Minnesota teaching injury prevention courses to overhead throwers, ACL injury prevention, concussion management and injury prevention amongst dancers.
During that time Optimize worked with numerous athletic teams ranging from baseball/softball, swimming, volleyball, soccer and high level dancers to improve injury prevention programming, sports optimization as well as treatment if and when injuries occurred.

I was recommended to Abby originally for physical therapy. My son (11) had a Tommy John injury. We started working with Abby and it could not have gone better. She introduced many levels of physical therapy exercises and band work that he still does almost daily. My favorite thing about Abby's physical therapy sessions is her willingness to put on a glove, analyze his throwing mechanics, and fix the mechanics necessary to not have the injury happen again. They have since converted to weekly throwing for care and maintenance and he has had no further issues or pain. Abby was a true blessing to find

After visiting several different providers in a variety of medical disciplines I was resigned to the apparent fact that there was no solution to my pain. After yet another internet search I found Optimize Physical Therapy. From the very first visit I was feeling better. Dr. Abby takes a wholistic approach. Her skill in different techniques and understanding of the big picture of physical, neurological and psychological health set her apart. She is rising star in the physical therapy field.

Go see Abby! I do lots of heavy repetitive motion at work, and I figured a skilled PT could help me solve my excruciating double wrist pain (ulnar side). I was right! Abby was smart, fun, listened to my needs, and zeroed in where I was strong, and where I was deficient. Thanks to the targeted homework she gave me, I found relief sooner than I expected that allows me to resume my heaviest work with a WAY greater pain-free range of motion. Couldn't have solved it on my own, so...I'm a fan!!

Abby spoke to 100+ girls in our softball program with girls ranging in age from 8-18. We also had several volunteer coaches and my staff in attendance to learn from Abby. Abby was informative and exuberant throughout her presentation. Her knowledge of her craft was apparent and she was able to take complex information and explain it in a way that all who was in attendance could understand. She used kids from the crowd to show and explain the right way to do things and what to avoid. My staff, volunteer coaches, and the girls were engaged and everyone was able to take information given to apply

Abbey brings a passion to Optimize that marries the technical skills of a trained professional with the personal touch of an elite athlete that wants her patients to excel and reach their full potential. Her knowledge of the body and the ways to repair, and improve, it were what convinced us we made the right choice to work with Optimize. I would recommend Optimize without a single reservation.

I am beyond pleased with our decision to see Abby for a shoulder issue that my daughter had. Abby did a great job of explaining what the issues were as well as what she was doing to correct it. I like to know how/why things work and Abby explained things in a way that my daughter and I could understand. Abby also helped review my daughters throwing motion to help insure that the problem would not return. That part of the therapy was also very, very beneficial for both my daughter and I as now I know what to look for so the problem does not resurface.
I would very highly recommend Abby to any and

Abby is absolutely amazing. Having exhausted other options relating to daughter's upper back and shoulder pain, I brought her to Abby. After only one appointment my multiple-sport daughter was able to do things she couldn't do without pain the previous 16 months. Abby explained thoroughly what the issue was, treated my daughter, and provided prevention tips and exercises, all with a friendly demeanor. I highly recommend her.
