Our three kids had been taking classes for 2 months until the statewide mandatory stay-at-home order went into effect in April 2020. Although I had already paid for the 2 months in full, Combat Base Clarkston (CBC) continued to debit our bank account for 3 months AFTER THEY CLOSED in April. I reached out to CBC multiple times in April, May, and June asking them to stop taking our money since they weren’t even open for classes, but they never returned an email, text, or voicemail. I ended up having to call our bank to block them from taking more. THEY WITHDREW $915 out of our bank account AFTER

Been looking for a BJJ academy near Clarkston for over two years. When Combat Base Clarkston opened, I checked out an open mat session with my son. I have zero experience in grappling. Corey Nolan, the coach, and the rest of the guys I met were immediately welcoming. I joined two weeks later. I can't recommend Combat Base enough. It's like a family.

As a woman I was intimidated to walk through the door. I am so thankful that I didn’t let it stop me. I’ve found great instructors and encouraging training partners. I am completely new to jujutsu but I’m looking forward to leaning something new. Great self defense, cardio workout and just plain fun.

My first jiu jitsu experience and this place has been very welcoming. There is no ego training here. Family friendly atmosphere. Everyone here is focused on improving, both as a group and as individuals. Corey is a great instructor. He will never put you down, but he will not give you false confidence. Your money and time will be well spent here
