Guiding children and adolescents in identifying feelings, managing emotions, and behaviors while assisting in family support. Children are born with the emotions but not the ability to label them. This is a developmental skill that needs to be fostered and practiced over time. When a child cannot use language to express how they feel, they will often use a variety of behaviors to express their feelings.

When a child experiences ongoing exposure to neglect, abuse, or other difficult life events, it causes learning and behavior problems in school. Many children experience trauma in their early development. Trauma is hard for schools and educators to address because it can be hard to identify. Information for educators about the impact on trauma can provide the tools necessary to help children focus and learn at school.

Brainspotting is a trauma therapy that works deep within the brain and the body through its direct access to the autonomic and limbic systems within the body's central nervous system. It is considered a treatment with profound psychological, emotional, and physical benefits. It was created in 2003 by David Grand.

I had the pleasure of working with Leah Lennox Counceling on numerous occassions. I am a preschool teacher and occassionally run into behavioral situations that I am not familiar with. Leah was able to help me through each situation! She would explain to me why the child was not understanding and behaving in such a way. She provided me with… techniques I could use to work with them. Additionally, she would give me short videos that I could watch to help me understand more about what the child was going through and materials for me to read up on. It was so helpful!! Thank you Leah Lennox

I cant say enough great things about Leah! I have a home daycare and Leah has worked with me on managing challenging behaviors and provided me with effective advice and techniques that worked! The techniques that she taught me has helped me understand how to teach youngsters to understand their own feelings and communicate them. This has made a world of difference within the environment of my daycare. I have seen a huge, positive turn around and I have Leah to thank for all of it! She has so much passion and love for her career to make a difference with others. You see her passion when you meet

At the age of seven our daughter's anxiety had become such a barrier for her that it was interfering with her daily life and preventing her from every day childhood enjoyments. It started affected our entire family, causing frustration, tears, and helplessness. The problem was we didn't know it was anxiety, not until Leah. I can not begin to express how Leah stepped in and rescued our family and my daughter. We didn't know what was wrong with our daughter or where to turn. After a bad experience with a large counseling facility a friend mentioned Leah. She understood right away our fears for our

My son saw Leah regularly for a little over a year while struggling with anxiety about school and other aspects of life. I was hesitant to seek out therapy, but I am very glad I did. My son's anxiety was interfering with his life and our family life nearly every day, which made me feel helpless. Leah became a great friend to him and helped both of us come up with ideas to help him manage his anxiety both at school and at home. She is very knowledgable in her field and passionate about helping kids succeed and be their best selves. My son still struggles with anxiety, but to a lesser extent than
