The Law Office Of Kevin Williams
Specializing in Probate & Guardianship Law in Kane, DuPage, Kendall, Will, and Cook Counties. We are an Aurora, IL based law firm guiding families through the probate and guardianship process. Currently, our law office serves five counties in the Chicagoland area, which include Kane, DuPage, Kendall, Will, and Cook Counties.

While we are based in Aurora, we regularly travel to and meet with clients all over the Chicago area. We also manage cases for out-of-state clients who need probate services. In order to provide more precise and focused service to our clients, we have limited our practice to probate, guardianship, and the related estate litigation.
Services
In today's society, there are many attorneys who practice with a self-serving mindset. However, it is critical to us that we practice with a different mentality. It is our mission to serve our clients with humility, honesty, respect, and the highest level of professional integrity. By practicing law this way, we believe that the long-term success we will achieve will be much greater.
At the Law Office of Kevin Williams, we help clients in two main areas of the law: Probate and Guardianship. Because we have limited our practice to just two areas, we feel that we are able to provide our clients with superior representation in probate and guardianship cases. Preparing the estate-opening court documentation, including petitions to open the estate, affidavits of heirship, oaths/bonds, notices, and the draft court orders.
When someone dies in Illinois, oftentimes his/her estate will need to pass through the Probate court process. In order to begin Probate proceedings, the will (if one exists) and a petition to administer the estate needs to be filed in the local county court. If your loved one passed away while residing in Kane County, Illinois, his/her Probate estate will need to pass through the Kane County Probate court located in downtown Geneva, Illinois.
The DuPage County Probate Court has one judge who handles all Probate matters for the entire county. The Probate call for routine matters is heard Monday through Friday at 9:00 a.m. in Courtroom 2009 of the DuPage County Judicial Center located at 505 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, Illinois. Contested hearings are heard later on in the morning or in the early afternoon.
Aurora, Illinois is the second largest city in the state. While mainly situated in Kane County, Aurora also extends into parts of DuPage, Will, and Kendall County. Thus, if you have a loved one who has passed away in Aurora, Illinois, and a probate is necessary, it will be important to determine in which part of Aurora your loved one lived since probate cases are handled in the county where a deceased person resided.
