I have been in the Real Estate business for over 30 years, born in Van Buren, Maine and moved to Miami, Florida in 1980. I worked with a home builder in Tampa, Florida, worked with a Broker in Palm Beach, Florida and I was a Real Estate Agent in Jupiter, Florida. I missed the 4 seasons so my husband, Jerry Redden, and I decided to move to Mountain City, Tennessee in 2007!
We decided that Watauga Lake was the area we wanted to build our second home. Based on the great reviews Redden Realty has on Zillow, I contacted them for help and am I glad I did! Over a few months on long distance communication and visiting properties we finally chose the ideal lot, thanks to Jerry.

Our experience was EXACTLY the same as all the other 1 star reviews.
In addition, while they tried many different tactics ,but failed ,to stop our purchase- because they would not get the full 100% commission- a highly rated home inspector refused to do our home inspection when he found our reddens had the listing. He totally refused to do any work where they were involved he told us. They were problematic, rude, argumentative, and totally unprofessional,he said, because they don't get their own way.
If he ever raised concerns over properties, they were unrelentless badgering and fighting him

I would pretty much reiterate what all of the other one-star reviews have said. Margo is the most unprofessional and rude real estate agent you'll ever meet. They don't actually want to sell your property unless they can be both the selling AND the listing agent to avoid splitting the commission with another agent. I was interested in a piece of property in Trade, TN that they had listed for over 650 days (in the hottest market in decades up there). She was so incredibly rude to my agent, didn't return his calls, and then hung up on him at one point. In addition, if you go on Zillow or Realtor

My husband and I were looking on landwatch.com for a relocation property. The listing agent was Margo Redden of Redden Realty in Mountain City, TN. I called her on that Thursday evening and had a normal pleasant conversation with her. We told her we are from Wisconsin and looking for property to relocate. We informed her we were coming in on Friday around 6pm and we would call her to set up a time Saturday morning to look at some properties; 4 to be exact and I sent her the listings we wanted to see. I don't know how any five star reviews exist with this company. They never pick up the phone or call you back. No response to any of the questions our realtor has tried to ask them. How are these people still in business? Their tactics are rude and unprofessional. They deserve to have their license revoked based on the last review on here.

I would give a 0 if I could. My husband and I saw a house on line that we wanted to see. We have bought and sold many houses in our years. We always go to the listing agent to get the best deal. We called the listing agent and asked her to show us the house. She said that if she can’t make it, she will send her husband. We waited at their office, and he showed up. He was very nice. We loved the house, so my husband called her and asked “ since we are using you ( the listing agent) what is the best deal we can get, since you don’t have to split commission “? Let's just say they are the nicest most dishonest people you will ever meet. If you have any doubts just ask anyone local. Folks around here know how they lie and swindle to get what they want. They will say anything to get you to sign a listing contract and then sit on it doing nothing more to help you sell. The only thing they love more than money is talking about themselves and their money. Avoid them, there are other way more honest realtors in the area.

The Redden Team is terrific! We worked with Margo for nearly 2 years planning to downsize and relocate from FL to TN.
