We strive to ensure that your loved ones funeral is meaningful, personal and affordable. In 1965, the original St. Therese Church on Main Street was dismantled. On that hallowed ground we erected our funeral home to serve the people of our community. We have faithfully continued that service over the years and are honored to occupy this sacred location.

Services
The Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home prides itself on offering a very personal touch to the families we serve. With a staff of 4 on call licensed funeral directors, you will never get an answering service when you call our facility. When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
Some of the deceased's family members may be able to receive Social Security benefits if the deceased person worked long enough under Social Security to quality for benefits. You should get in touch with Social Security as soon as you can to make sure the family receives all of the benefits to which it may be entitled.
In order to apply for Veteran's benefits, whether federal or local, you will need a military discharge. The discharge can be War time or Peace time issued under conditions other than dishonorable. If a copy of the discharge was registered in Allegheny County, you can contact the Department of Real Estate, 101 County Office Bldg., Pittsburgh, PA 15219, 412-350-4226, FAX 412-350-3787.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.

I would just like to say how amazing Michael from savolskis funeral home was. We lost my aunt due to covid and Michael was very caring, sympathetic and very helpful to us. I had called other local funeral homes local prior to calling them and the others were all about the money and didn't seem to be compassionate . It's such a rough time to lose someone and Michael made us feel very comfortable. I highly recommend this funeral home. Such a wonderful group of caring people.

My step father passed away. I had never experienced what goes into planning a funeral. I was very impressed with the kind and caring guidance that they showed us. The details and fine tuning, plus just knowing the appropriate wording for the obituary. Losing a loved one is very difficult, and your emotions are raw. Paul Urban was the Funeral Director that worked with us. I cannot praise him enough for all that he did. I feel very blessed that we went with Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral home.

Highly recommend. Very nice facility, kind and knowledgeable staff. And for those who would care about such things, such as myself, the departed, and his son, a beautiful Hearse. Long and dark, shiny and black, very classy Cadillac (not one of those awful stubby ugly ones you've seen). I'm an antique car fan, as was the departed, but even I appreciated the shining fine, late-model long-wheelbase Hearse provided. The United States Army Coat of Arms (the departed was a Korean War Veteran) was a very nice touch.
And they did a Fantastic job on the Memorial slide show! Really very very well done!
