This place is HORRIBLE. Can't wait till my lease is up. Maintenance is nice but thats it!! The office is useless to help with any situations. Hot water is ALWAYS off. Neighbors kids constantly running around screaming "N*****, P******, F*** the police, peeing on buildings and leaving trash everywhere!!!!!

I've lived here from 04/2015 to 04/2017(my lease is almost done), this place looks nice at first sight but I can see reading all the other reviews here that I'm not the only one having roaches, btw when my husband was fumigating we found out that probably the people who lived here before us had a problem with rats because there was a trap behind the stove. I agree with other residents that they just touch up the paint to make it look "nice", all paint in the vanity/bathroom it's coming out like in pieces.
Another thing here to talk about is the non-security they can offer

I lived here for a little over a year and a half. My first apartment experience and my first living on my own experience.
I choose Monte Verde because of the price and how close to work it was for me. It wasn't the cheapest but it was much better quality then all other complexes near by and in the same price bracket.
I loved the management, they worked with me and made me feel like i was welcome. They worked around my schedule if i needed them too.
My little studio was out of the way and did not feel like a cramped space like i thought it would. There was a great cross breeze when i

I feel a need to add my two cents, because I fear we have a case hear of only the pissy people bothering to complain and nothing from the MANY extremely happy, long time residents because we are all too content to realize the malcontents are bad mouthing the community. I had lived in apartments for most of my life, in every SoCal county. By FAR, Monte Verde was the cleanest, nicest, most welcoming, best maintained, and most attentive apartment complex I have lived in during my almost 40 years of apartment living. Is it the Taj Mahal? Of course not... it's a moderately priced apartment complex

Lived here for 3 years now. First in a 2 bedroom and now a studio. Studio is the biggest we've found at the price offered. Now with a baby on the way, we definitely want to stay longer. Awesome management and they get things done right away. I don't know why the people are complaining. We did have a roach problem one year, during summer (go figure). Told management and they scheduled an exterminator to come in on the next Thursday (its always Thursday). Didnt have the problem any longer afterward. Definitely recommend moving here

Had to call code enforcement to get our rat and roach problem taken care of. Our car was just broken in to, and according to my neighbors, other cars have been hit in the past few months. We receive no information on criminal activity in our complex, and I think that is important to know in order to stay safe.
When we moved in we were told that there were no problems with theft here, but we are sadly seeing that we were lied to. We are counting the days to when we can move out of this place.
Emailing the main company Western Property management doesn't do any good. They ignored my concern

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!! This has been the longest year. Thank God its ending. From day one we had a roach problem. We complained to management on several occasions but nothing was done. The trash cans/apartment premises are infested with hugh flying roaches. My car was broken into and then stolen the next day. I told Lisa "The Manager" and she said their aware of this problem and did nothing. One month later my roommates car was broken into. There are people dumpster diving at all hours of the night and early mornings. There is no security even though they claim to have someone that

Bad place to live. !! my mother lives here. she witness someone break into a car on the day she moved in. Less than 4 months living their her car was broken into. when i called the after hours number, the only person i could get on the phone was the maintenance manager who wasn't much help at all and after telling him my mothers car was broken into he said "yea there was a couple other break ins last night too". When i called the security phone number that is posted outside the gate, they said that they've never even heard of the place. The maintenance manager gave me the number

Worst apartment ever. Don't even think about moving here. They will rip you off for the deposit. I moved in on May 2012, signed a year lease with $450 deposit. I bought the house in January 2013 and paid them $2000 fee to break the lease. After I moved out they refunded me only $30 for the deposit. They said they had to charge me $100 for cleaning, $150 for painting (apartment was the same condition as when I first moved in) last but not least, they said there were some scratches on the kitchen counter in which they had to resurface (they charge me $135 for that). THE KITCHEN WAS THE

I've lived here for about 7 months now. I like living here. I enjoy the koi pond, having a garage, having maintenance issue resolved in a flash. Overall I'm happy. Our manager is a pretty easy going guy. Some of the tenants are pretty sleazy. Kind of dirty but they seem to be "moving on out". Keep up the good work Kyle.

If you enjoy living with cockroaches, this is the place for you.
The only good thing about this place is the convenient location near the 5 and the 91 fwy. It's really easy to jump onto the freeways at any time of the day.
Everything else is extremely bad. This place is infested with COCKROACHES. After moving in and not even having all of the things moved in yet, I saw the biggest cockroach I've ever seen in my boyfriend's bedroom. Since then, we've spotted mostly baby ones and average sized cockroaches all over (bathroom and kitchen mostly with their skin sheddings(?) all

Overall: Not the best place to live...
Resident for 3-4 yrs
The Good:
Freeway: 2 minutes away from the 5 freeway and 5 minutes away from the 91 freeway.
School/Shopping/Food: Elementary school is just a block away (technically this should mean no known child predators around the area)
24 hour Walmart is 2 minutes away. Decent food near by (Thai, Korean, American).
Park: parks are about 5-7 minutes away (good enough to go to exercise but far enough not to make Monte Verde "dangerous")
Grounds: Not great, but acceptable. There are huge roaches on the ground. The worst thing is that

STAY AWAY!!! This place is a hell hole...literally! THE APARTEMENTS ARE INFESTED WITH MOLD AND ROACHES!!! And complaining to the property management company will not work. They do not do ANYTHING about it! Our neighbor's air conditioning unit broke before summer started. Eager to get this fixed before it started getting really hot, she let the property management know right away. They did not come out to fix the ac unit until the following winter!
I think the biggest warning sign we should have seen when we checked this place out was all the moving trucks. People were constantly moving

I lived in Monte Verde from 07-09 and can say that in my last 5 months it was the worst it ever was. Usually I hear complaints about the staff from residents about twice a week. Most common response is "Unprofessional, rude, lazy, and poor communication
Security: While I lived there I saw graffiti inside the complex, car break-ins, and ex-convicts living in the apartments.
Staff: I would grade this staff with a zero. Laurena is very rude and possibly the worst person ever to deal with any of your issues. More than 50% of the residents have a story about her. As for Jose, very lazy and no
