The Mix At CTR CITY

I applied over a month ago and put down a deposit for an apartment. They end up telling me that I don’t qualify based off of my income. Now I have called 5 TIMES to get my deposit back. They still have no returned any of my phone calls and emails. I’m glad that I did not get this apartment as the leasing office is a complete joke. If you’re thinking of applying don’t bother. They just want to take your money and never respond to you again.

Found a single bedroom unit for me and my Partner at The Mix.
We lucked out, and right after the tour we immediately put a deposit down, paid the application fee, had our background check verified and approved.
We were so excited as all the emails we were receiving said we were approved and telling us our move in date was coming up. But after a week and a half we wanted verbal confirmation.
That’s when Leslie, the assistant manager, started giving us push back on our income.
Me and my partner have worked for the same international company for over 10 years, and can verify all yearly income

Why are my husband and I getting the run around from everyone we have talked to here? We reserved an apartment and turned in all required documents just to have the "third party" who handles the screening process reject our documents because they were scanned?? We have asked if last years tax returns would suffice or if we could bring the required documents in because we have the hard copy form and NO ONE can give us a straight answer. The mix at ctr city is a cool and unique apartment complex. The complex includes 4 different buildings, each with their own style and amenity and situated walking distance from restaurants, shops and even a museum. The leasing staff, although often busy, is usually friendly and helpful. It's best to call or head to the leasing office yourself, otherwise your email will not get answered. The leasing process was smooth. Maintenance staff is kind and efficient, however they get busy with renovating new units so requests through the resident portal may take a while. Not a good experience. Microwave doesn’t work. The freezer was filthy. I only get extreme hot water from both showers and the air conditioning doesn’t work. Now if I was just bringing this up today it wouldn’t be a problem, but i have been putting up with this for a week. They need to make some changes, fast.

Moved in this place on 9/28. We started having our washer leak on 9/29. The master shower has only had scolding hot water since the day we moved in. We’ve had a maintenance request open for over a week now to get these issues fixed and the office just keeps saying they’re low on maintenance staff and someone will call us back to help us. We can’t wash our clothes, take a shower without burning skin, or walk around the apartment without it flooding randomly. We pay way too much money to be ignored like this :(

Terrible communication. Don't even bother asking them to do something. They don't care about your business. "We are busy." That's all you will get from them. I was a potential renter but not after this incident where I was trying to apply for an apartment for hours and they said we will get right back to you and never did. Eventually they had some else apply and I never got a chance. Terrible management. Awful. Take your living situation somewhere else

Nice place to live, very calm and a few minutos from many cool places.... Unfortunately if you live in Broadway arms your place doesn't get clean that often.... Sidewalks are always dirty

This review has been long over due! My girlfriend and I moved into the Doria Lofts in April of 2020 (right in the middle of the pandemic) and our stay here has been nothing short of phenomenal. We have lived in 2 apartment complexes prior to moving here and this is by far the most professional and understanding leasing office we have dealt with. Heather and Leslie at the leasing office are very nice and eager to help in any way they can! The maintenance team here is amazing. We haven't had many maintenance issues, but when we do our requests are always tended to that same day, or the next

I lived at the The Mix for 3 years. For the first couple of years, it was great under the management of Brian. Only complaint was the elevator in my building would stop working. I did like the building and the location and my neighbors were friendly. However, the last part of my time there under the new management was horrible. I had informed the management that a suspicious person had followed me into the parking garage late one night. I told them it would be on the video surveillance cameras. I had to call SEVERAL times to get any call back from the management and was told there would be follow

Just moved in today, the leasing team is amazing process was super easy! I initially wasn't able to get approved for the apartment I originally wanted and they went out of their way to help me get approved for another can't wait to start a life here with my two dogs

Once we thought everything was great and figured out we find out that what they suggested us to do would end up screwing us over. So I'm here to say, this horrible situation is still just as horrible. This place may be "nice" but if you have an issue that's not your fault, you may be paying for it for the next few years and not even realize. This place doesn't care about you, they just want money and I'm serious. I honestly don't even know if a good apartment manager even exists.

Awesome customer service👍, I was searching for an apartment and the lady at the front desk was super helpful. I believe her name was Leslie. She made everything easy to understand and even gave me a virtual tour to give me a better visual of the place. Definitely interested and so far seems like the best choice compared to all the other apartment complex's in the area.😁

Horrible experience. Called to make an appointment to see one and two bedroom apt. and we were given an appointment time. We arrived and the woman at the front desk said they have no available apartment to show. Even though we made an appointment... she kept saying look online look online so as we were in front of her we pulled up many apartments that were available online now to see and rent (reserve now). And she proceeds to say oh the online site isn't up to date. So how our we able to even get an appointment if online is wrong and when we formally set up an appointment there are no apartments

My boyfriend and I lived at the Mix Doria Lofts for a little over a year. We absolutely loved our time there. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and attentive. Our studio unit was spacious, had wonderful natural light, an in-unit washer and dryer, hardwood floors and great appliances. We enjoyed the parking garage underneath the Doria Lofts, and always felt safe when traveling to and from our cars.

I lived at the Mix in the Doria Lofts for a little over a year. There were a ton of pros and cons to it so let me list them here for those looking to rent a new apartment.

Pros:
-Great location. It is next to the packing district and there's tons of retailers and restaurants in walking distance.
-Fiber internet.
-Spacious and affordable if you wait for the right price. Keep an eye on prices as they change daily.
-Great service from the maintenance guys. They were quick with all of our requests.
-Amazon lockers
-Tons of activities on Promenade street throughout the year. There is an art crawl

Everything is high quality for a good price. Leading was easy. Location is perfect for my work but doesn’t sacrifice the social aspect of my life.

I have not movEd in. My interest in the property is three fold. Location/experience, budget and service.

Five stars on the first, for on the second, and a half star on the third.

I really want this property conceptually. My in-person visit was half hourr before clossing and the young lady trying to help me was really trying her best and she was doing a good job even though she'd not been trained to know the contradiction within her most frequently used term - least inExpensive. But she was great!

I've been living here for 3 years and the management has recently been taken over by someone new and the service of the office team has just gone downhill. I've been trying for 3 days to get someone by to fix our washer/dryer and nobody returns my calls. After a lot of back and forth on the phone I finally got someone by and they didn't end up fixing anything so here I am with 4 days worth of wet clothes sitting in a washer with a dryer that won't work. Their lack of attentiveness is disappointing as the old management would have had this handled by now.

I feel like this complex got an undeserved bad rap!!! From the initial apartment tour set up through the moving in process, Leslie and Michelle were super helpful, friendly and polished. The application and background check were a breeze and my boyfriend and I love our new apartment in the Broadway Arms building.

This review is for Parking policy only.

1 assigned stall per unit. The rest must buy parking pass to park in another parking structure for a walking distance. There are parking spaces on 1st floor in Broadway Arm but they are reserved for Retail only. It used to be that they don't enforce it during non-business hours and weekend. That used to help. Now they flipped the finger and begin to enforce it 24 hours a day. This is forcing residents to have to pay extra for the distant parking structure. If not, people will have to park across the street in the unsafe neighborhood or maybe Vons.

We lived in The Doria lofts building for almost year and still undecided as to whether we should renew our lease. The people in the leasing office are professional and easy to deal with. The manager Brian was responsive to emails and usually get and answer same day. The maintenance people are great. They are fast and polite. There public areas are kept clean with the occasional smell of dog pee in the hallway. We never had any issues with neighbors except some annoying things like leaving boxes by the trash chute when there's a big sign saying leave them in the garage.

The problem for us

I rented here for 1 year ,
: my fiancé and I rented a 2bd 2 bath which only came with one parking space , you can purchase a additional space I believe it was $50 or $60 a month , there's guest parking but you can only park there for a maximum of 2hrs or you will receive a ticket , or tow
: we lived on the second floor , the odor from the trash shoot hits you in the face as soon as you exit the elevator.
: from the time I moved in til the time I moved out , something was always improperly working , they came out to fix the toilet at total of 11 times before replacing it and it was broken
