Where do I begin. I bought my wife's engagement ring here 22 years ago. We upgraded it once on 2003 so it's been 18 years since I was last in contact with them. I recall working with Jim, who has since opened his own Stardust in Mendon. His father Rick still owns the original. I don't think that Rick would be proud of my most recent experience. And yes, i am one of those customers who is so upset that I feel compelled to write a review.
My wife went down with her ring and the EGA cert. we received back in 2003. She chose to drive the 90 minutes simply because we could not get anyone to answer

I went to Stardust to design a ring that was uniquely my own. I was able to sit and participate in the design process completely. Their questions were designed to ensure a beautiful but yet comfortable ring. When I picked it up, I was overwhelmed how they had made what was in my heart become a beautiful piece of art! Started the process of resizing my ring. Called and spoke to someone who was very nice. I told him exactly what I needed and he was great, told me to come down to the shop. We walk in and a woman was in the shop. She didn’t greet us. Took my rings and told me they would not touch them. We began to ask exploratory questions and she kept contradicting herself with her answers. Don’t recommend.

Great place! Experienced, they pay attention to detail and provide excellent service. They helped me with some heirloom pieces that needed a lot of work. They have a great system where photos are taken of the pieces upon arrival and you know the price of the repairs when you drop off the pieces. They stand behind their work and my repairs were done on site.

I've been a customer since the 1980s. They are always pleasant and very helpful whether I'm purchasing one their beautiful pieces of jewelry or getting a repair done. They have done a beautiful job helping me restore heirloom pieces and tracking down a perfect match to missing gems. Very knowledgeable and creative when I've wanted to remake old pieces into something more modern. Highly recommend.
