My husband and I just dropped in on our way out of town and the host was extremely friendly and sat us at a perfect table at a corner window with Oceanview. Our waitress, Rachel, was delightful and friendly and very personable. The food was delicious. We had wine also and when check came we were delighted how reasonable the meals were especially these days. Atmosphere was so cozy and inviting. They didn't know but my birthday dinner was perfect. I will recommend a visit to all my friends and family

This restaurant is not what it use to be. The service and the quality of food has plummeted. The prices keep going up, the portions smaller and the sunset special is now only honored to locals, putting this average restaurant out of many customers price range. The food is definitely not worth the high price tag no matter what the view is. I ordered the clam chowder and it barely had clams, the salmon was tasty yet overcooked. The sides were bland and unappealing.
It's very disappointing, this was a family favorite for years and now will not be returning.

The service is good. We had calamari for appetizer it is really good we like the white sauce better than the salsa looking sauce cause it's really sour. The clam chowder is delish. Beach house seafood pasta is ok it's too salty for us. The beef stroganoff was good but the filet mignon is so good! Overall the food and service is commendable.

Not the same quality of food they used to serve. Sadly disappointed, the sea bass was flavorless, the crab archoni tasted like a filet fish from McDonald's. Super fishy and greasy. The steak was over cooked and tasted just blah. The restaurant is clean and beautiful and the service was great. Wish the food tasted better.

New manager and new rules. Since my last visit changes were made to the opening time of a half hour later. Sunset menu was not printed. The hostess takes us directly to an outside table even though it's 50F outside. Common sense says it's an inside kind of day. The service was excellent and food was very tasty. Just curious to see if the new manager tinkers more with the Beach House or goes back to what makes it very special. Excellent value, view, food, and service. We shall see.

Absolutely delicious! I got the Pan Roasted Sea Bass, which was incredible, and my wife got the Steak & Prawns Scampi. Even our daughter's fetuccine alfredo was really good, haha. Also just FYI, if you're local (living in a 939 zip code), they have a menu called the Locals Sunset Menu that has a paired-down list of things to choose from, but for a better price than the normal menu (I think it's only between 4:30pm and 5:30pm). My sister got the Grilled Salmon Filet, and her husband got the Rigatoni with Pesto Cream, both of which were awesome. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

We had a very nice dinner for our anniversary here, even though they did not do anything special for our anniversary. We had the Brussels Sprouts for a starter, which I would not recommend. It was very bland in my opinion. The sliced sourdough bread with butter was perfect. My beef stroganoff was so good! I scarfed it down! My wife had the pesto pasta dish and loved it! The Eso Cabernet was very average. I had the blood orange mule, which was quite good. We finished it off with the cheesecake that looked great, but was not creamy enough. It was very cakey. There were other desserts that

Setting is beautiful.
Service was fine .
The food was disappointing.
Salmon came out undercooked and served with a strange overly buttery pilaf that was not fresh .
Sand dabs were dry and not nearly as good as most places in the area
And don't try the cheesecake . It does not taste or look like New York cheesecake.
To top it off got very sick with food poisoning a couple hours later.
Such a perfect location too bad the food doesn't match the view .

Really cool restaurant right on the water by lovers point. Came here on a date night with my wife and had some drinks and some dinner
I ordered the beef stroganoff and was a little disappointing, it was so rich and heavy with so much oil but I'm not the one to send something back because maybe that's how people like it? Not sure.
The food all in all was pretty good, my wife enjoyed her meal but the desert is where they lose a couple stars. We made the mistake of ordering the mud pie which came out as a solid block of ice and is obviously something that is shipped to them and they freeze

I recommend this lovely restaurant. Beach House is situated in one of the most beautiful spots in the whole world, Lovers Point in Pacific Grove. The views are magnificent.
The restaurant is elegant and sparkling clean. The menu is interesting and broad. The cocktail and beer menu is satisfying. The waiters are friendly and efficient.
We love to go between 4:30 and 6:00 when the happy hour menu is available. We always find something delicious. The clam chowder is delightful, and I was particularly pleased with the Sand Dabs. All portions are ample. And the bread is bottomless and served warm

We came tonight solely because of the photo of the filet mignon with crispy onion straws! It pulled us right in. We made a reservation online and were seated instantly. There were many delicious choices on the menu. We got cocktails of course! I got the Hypnotini, hubby got the old fashioned which is TO DIE FOR, and our friend got two margaritas over the course of the night.
We started with calamari appetizers and it was so different than anything we've had on the peninsula. It is served with a sweet salsa and tartar sauce which was yummy too. It had a lot of flavor and was nice and crispy

We've been wanting to try the Beach House Restaurant for a while now and finally got the chance. We had a late dinner, around 730pm. We made reservations and were seated quickly. The hostess seemed a bit distracted, but not sure why since there were only a few people waiting. She also disinfected the menus while we waited.
We were seated at a window seat. Very nice ambience. It was pretty raucous in there, but not overwhelming. Service was a bit slow, but the place was at capacity, so understandable.
We started dinner with a bottle of Smith and Hook Cab and a couple of appetizers: Fried Calamari

Absolutely the best place I've been to in Pacific Grove by far. Everything about the restaurant was perfect. The location is perfect, right by the amazing Lover's Point park. There's great seating that lets you look over the ocean but the inside of the restaurant was also beautiful. Service was the best I've ever had, with a very attentive and caring waiter. He was treating everyone like family and making the experience wonderful. An error was made on my girlfriend's order and the waiter let her know about it as soon as he set the plate down. She had wanted a Rotini with pesto, sundried tomatoes

Extremely and conveniently located from our motel, cozy, modern and clean. The clam chowder was amazing. Genuinely wished I had just gotten a bowl of that! I had the sea bass and my husband got the pesto pasta with shrimp. We finished off with a mud pie. Everything was good, but I may just not have liked the sea bass as a personal thing. Waiters were friendly and attentive. We will be back for more chowder!

They let us sit by the window with a beautiful view of the ocean & lovers point beach below. The service was fast but not too fast, and when my boyfriend informed our server that it was my birthday he was super sweet & brought me one of their desserts, I think it was pecan mud pie and it was super rich and yummy. I ordered the shrimp & prawns and it was to die for. I also had the firecracker shrimp as a starter and this dish was not hot at all, but had good flavor and the shrimp was amazing. All in all it was a great experience and I would dine here again. I think the prices are fair for the location

We went here for our anniversary dine-in dinner. The atmosphere was very quaint and if you can, ask for a window seat. The restaurant has a beachfront view, which is amazing.
The waiter and table staff were pleasant and on top of it.
Our dinner plates were delicious and portioned well. Enjoyed the anniversary dinner...and creme brulee dessert was on the house! Thanks BHatLP!!

After spending the day with friends riding bikes along the coast, we decided to stop at the Beach House for some cocktails and appetizers. At first glance, we could tell that the restaurant was pretty busy, even with COVID restrictions still not being fully lifted yet. We put our name in with the host and waited about 30 minutes for a table. If deciding to dine here, I recommend making a reservation if possible. We were seated outside downstairs by the entrance to the restaurant. Although we would have loved to have an ocean view inside the restaurant, the wait time for that was much longer.

Not too impress with this place. The food is average and pricey. We ordered Sand Dabs Almondine and Prime Rib French Dip. I didn't like the way they cooked the fish, too soft and too much oil. The dip is almost no taste. However, I like the clam chowder and fried calamari. The service is also average.

Where do I begin?!? This place is amazing!! Reservations are highly recommended. I made a reservation the day before, and asked for indoor seating by the window and OMG I was not disappointed!!
They open at 4pm, so we reserved a 4:15pm dinner (super late lunch, actually).
The Ajonjolí Appetizer "Firecracker Shrimp" or something like that was to die for... And I don't usually like shrimp! The sauce it was in reminded me of 1000 Island dressing, but with a kick! 🔥
The pork chop looked beautiful, but I had to add salt. It didn't taste seasoned at all. Next time I'm trying the meatloaf... I

May 2021 (covid social distancing) Monday dinner:
Great location and views.
Calamari appetizer was excellent.
Early bird special Sand Dabs are always good.
French Dip was ok, not great.
Cioppino was good $38
Sea Bass was nice.
Waiter was friendly and cared however obviously inexperienced (am guessing due to covid and restarting up as usually their servers seem experienced and are top notch).
Food: 3 1/2 overall (4-5:30pm "Sunset Specials" for the price are a deal).
Location and views: 5
We'll be back.

Wow!! What an incredible experience! I wouldn't have changed a single thing! The manager, Axel, was extremely accommodating with my request to get seated way before my reservation time. Our waitress, Kristina, was very friendly and checked on us a bunch. I'm not sure of the busser's name but he was great, too. Not only was the service impeccable but the food was to die for! The view from our high-top patio table was breathtaking. The next time I am in the Pacific Grove area, I will definitely be enjoying a meal at Beach House Restaurant at Lovers Point again!
