Spice Catering Co. is Ohio's only caterer with both extensive fine dining expertise and deep-seated relationships with regional farmers. Founded in 2006, Spice Catering Co. moved to Cleveland's Gordon Square Arts District in 2011 to accommodate broader demand with a restaurant, Spice Kitchen+Bar. We are uniquely structured to facilitate fine dining experiences in the great outdoors.

Jess Edmonds has nearly two decades of experience in the food and beverage industry, honing her service talents in high-traffic Cleveland hot spots before joining Spice Catering Co. in 2008.

Can't tell you how pleased we were with Caroline and Co. today! Such a lovely event from start to finish. As soon as they walked through the door my whole demeanor changed - left it all in their more than capable hands and felt like a guest at the party. It was a delight!

We booked Spice for our wedding and the entire experience from start to finish was wonderful. Their team was so helpful in making menu recommendations, creating a special tasting experience walking us through the contract, and just being downright friendly to work with. So many of our guests commented that it was the best food they’ve eaten at a wedding – or ever – and we couldn’t agree more. They provided a truly exquisite dinner from the food to the service and we can’t recommend them enough!

Spice catering took on the job to cater my small intimate wedding ceremony. At first we worked with Ashley Reynolds who was an absolute joy. She was professional, kind and easy to work with. Shortly prior to our event we begin working with Britney Kuehm. She was absolutely perfect as well! She picked up where Ashely left off like she was there from the very beginning. I can not explain how much she went above and beyond day of to ensure our event went as smoothly as possible after some unforeseen bumps in the road. Besides the food being absolutely amazing, spice provides an entire amazing experience

Spice catered my wedding, and I couldn't have been happier. They are professional, thoughtful, creative, and detail oriented. Jess helped me to feel calm and like everything was thought through and taken care of - she is a true pro at this! The food was beautiful and delicious, and people still rave about it years later. Wow! Over the course of the last six months we've slowly been getting the know the spice team, specifically the "spice girls" as we planned and collaborated on our california wedding. Spice had never traveled across the country to do an event but they were up for the challenge and they BLEW EVERY SINGLE PERSONS SOCKS OFF! Attention to every detail is an understatement. If you're in the market for a catering company look no further and my biggest suggestion would be to let Ben, Alex and team do what they do best, create culinary experiences. Spice had a stand at a Farmer's Market in Peninsula we were at, and had chorizo breakfast burritos. The only problem is I don't like eggs. But my wife ordered one. I took a bite just to try. And then I took another bite. And another bite. And I ate half of it despite the egg. That's only happened like once before in my life. The pico, potato and cilantro all meshed so well with the egg and chorizo. It was delightful. Also, the woman working the stand couldn't have been nicer.

Attended a wedding catered by Spice. Service was impeccable, staff was friendly and attentive. After seeing the menu for the evening was very excited for dinner. When dinner service finally started I was disappointed that it was family style with items in bowls and placed on already over crowded tables but upon tasting I found that everything was cold or just above room temperature. So now I question food safety because the food itself was not heated to over 140 degrees to keep it out of the danger zone to where bacteria can begin to grow.

Spice catered a floral workshop my company hosted at an event space in Cleveland. Jess was amazing to work with, and extremely flexible and helpful in planning a Corporate Menu within our budget to ensure we'd still be able to serve fresh & local food at our workshop. We ordered two sandwich platters with three types (all delicious), two salads (the arugula is to die for!) and a selection of gourmet cookies which flew off the platter in minutes. The ordering, payment and delivery was efficient and seamless, will definitely use them again next time we have an event out in Cleveland!

Spice catered our outdoor wedding in Ohio and did a terrific job. They were a pleasure to deal with, came up with creative and delicious menu items to match our rather unique ideas, and executed well throughout. While they are not inexpensive, we ultimately thought it was money well spent given the quality of the interaction, presentation, and food. One of the best vendors we worked with across the dozen or so in the wedding.

Our wedding would not have been the same without Jess, Liz, and the entire Spice team. We were sold from just eating the food at the restaurant, but everyone was wonderful throughout the entire process - tasting, planning, working out the final details, and the reception itself. We received numerous compliments on how delicious everything was, and how wonderful everything looked, especially the meat + cheese display. Thank you for going above and beyond anything we would have expected!

What sold us on Spice of Life for our wedding was their local, sustainable focus and presentation. They were great to work with throughout our planning process, the food was fantastic, and presentation was like nothing you've ever seen before (they give new meaning to "buffet"). We also appreciated how with the couple of snafus we encountered Jess and Ben jumped to take care of us completely. They were a pleasure and while we don't plan on having another wedding, we'll definitely be visiting the restaurant! :-)

Jess from Spice was a dream come true before, at, and after our wedding. Planning an out of town wedding was challenging at every step, but she made the experience incredible!
I'm late to writing this review, (our wedding was 11/14) but it's better late because I can truly say that our guests are STILL talking about how much they loved our menu!
