Had a blackout during the storm a few weeks ago and decided to not make sure if their guests were ok. Complete darkness in the room and hallways and no elevator. Called down to check and a girl answered and said she's not sure when the power will be on. Nothing more. Nobody came to check if I was ok? If I needed anything? Nobody told us where the flashlights were. Next time maybe a kind knock on the door or a note under the door would be nice.

The rooms were disappointing! And the inside of the hotel just felt really dark and gloomy every time we had to walk through it. Very average hotel with decent landscaping. Not sure what the other rooms look like, but our room was definitely an older model. On the bright side, it was fairly clean and provided us with everything we needed, minus the pizzazz. They had a tennis court, good sized pool, free bike rentals for a limited time, & a nice gym. They only allowed roughly 5 people in the gym at a time due to covid so you have to sign up at the front desk if u want to use the gym. Masking

I love staying here but I'm giving it one star due to the fact I got bitten by bed bugs this month 11/21 room 221. Wasn't happy with the attitude of the daily supervisor & head of housekeeping that addressed this incident. I realize it can happen anywhere no matter how clean the hotel, but just disappointed with their reaction. They were fishing to see if I had been to the beach so they can blame it in noseeums. And I had not been to the beach. Was also informed that they didn't find any bugs in that room. They need to understand that sometimes they're tiny & can&apos

This hotel is at a perfect location. The staff is super nice and friendly. The hotel offers bicycles that you can use for 3 hrs and check the gift shops, coffee shops and other restaurants in the area. The room was spacious with lanai. Water and coffee available. The restaurant on site was reasonable priced and food was perfect. Happy hrs on cocktails hit the spot. We will definitely stay there again

WOW this hotel is hidden off the main street and I love that about it. Quaint and clean hotel with a great oasis pool (with bar and restaurant) and good non-hotel dining a few steps away. It's in a perfect location, too. Great way to be near everything but far enough to enjoy your slumber.

As a kama'aina, being able to stay at a hotel that was near the beach during my quick island hopping get away was a must-have. The Maui Coast Hotel is easy to access, lots of parking, check-in and check-out was smooth and the amenities were awesome! The rooms, which were clean and had the right amount of space, were perfect for us to relax in the evening, as we took in the beautiful sights of Maui during the day. I would highly recommend staying here!

If I could give negative stars I would. Unfortunate too as we stayed here before on our honeymoon and it was good.

I prepaid a reservation on Priceline in full three months prior to our three night stay. When we went to check in we were told that the hotel cancelled third party reservations and that we were basically out of luck. They didn't bother telling me they cancelled the reservation and no refund was issued prior. I had to spend hours on the phone to get over $1K back, and still had no room.

Terri at the front desk was no help, just made things worse. She "offered" to let

Ely, thank you to your leadership with housekeeping staff to return my prescription glasses!

Mahalo to Elbert (?) tor the warm welcome and great service.

A special thank you yo the hotel housekeeping staff for clean rooms and attention to detail.

Kihei is on the verge of making a comeback after Covid debacle.

The on site restaurant was reasonable; small menu of top favorites and well done menu!

Down the road a few awesome food carts, and ABC store for drinks. Beaches are beautiful.

Although not a beachfront hotel, it is certainly a nice walk to get there. This hotel was very clean, has lots of amenities, great room service from the on-site restaurant and maid services. Beautiful grand entry and well maintained grounds. Pool was not very big and the poolside bar wasn’t open during the time of our stay. Staff was very accommodating. Highly recommend staying here.

This place is amazing! Located in the more touristy area of Kihei the Maui Coast hotel has a beautiful lobby area reminiscent of similar hotels in Waikiki. The staff are friendly and very responsive to their guests needs. Like the other hotels in the area, currently there are covid rules that need to be followed, but absolutely did not lessen the experience in this hotel. The rooms are clean and definitely worth the money.

Pros: Beautiful hotel
Fast and Friendly Staff
Great location
Rooms are worth the price

Cons: Parking

Maui Coast Hotel in my opinion would be the best choices of places to stay. Well years ago, I was fortunate to have come on a trip to Maui from tickets he had won from his work of place Chase Bank. We stayed here for 4 nights and t was fun. The hotel has a poolside cafe, several bars inside for drinking. Certain days of the week they wil set up a Luau and a dance hall. I had several drinks with other visitors and had fun. Beach is another option, You can jog around the water or swim. Not much to do in Maui at nightime, Theyre is no nightlife here, So youhave to throw your own parties. Great, next

Due to COVID test results taking 72 hours longer than promised we ended up quarantining 2 nights at Maui Coast since our condo would not allow us to check in. The staff at Maui Coast were incredibly helpful, kind, understanding, and accommodating. The staff went above and beyond and made a very frustrating experience pleasant. I will recommend them to anyone traveling to Maui in the future.

The location is great. We could get to Wilea or Lahaina or Paia easily. There is plenty to do and see in walking distance as well. The gym was really impressive for a hotel and I appreciate them for considering it for guests. There is a restaurant poolside but it wasn't open. The restaurant on hotel property is good and has good takeout. The pool is beautiful and private. I could smell the ocean from my balcony and see it. There was a walking trail around the grounds. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. Terry especially helped us out and I am so grateful for her understanding

I had to fly to Maui over the weekend to do some work and the Maui Coast Hotel was one of the few hotels that was open for business during the COVID pandemic, that looked decent to my liking.

The Maui Coast hotel is located in Kihei, conveniently close to some bars and restaurants in the area.

I have to say, I was quite impressed with the quality of the room. Everything was clean and fresh upon my arrival and the AC was already nice and cold. I'm not too sure about the parking situation since I didn't rent a car, but when my friend came by to check on me and drop me some food, he was

Checked in. Rude gal at the Front desk, Kaui is her name. An employee can make or break your stay and this one certainly did. Rude from the get go, but I'm sure she puts on a big act for the boss. The place is empty because of Covid and we get a room in the farrrr back on the 7th floor, OPPOSITE the view! Unbelievable. We're closer to our house than the pool and this was a Birthday gift to me to enjoy the pool for a few days. Forget it. We've given this place soooo many chances and they do NOT cater to the local people. They cater to Flight Attendents and tourists only.

The place is across the street from the beach and close to grocery stores other wise the restaurant at the hotel is wonderful!
And your hotel key cards are printed with the copy of one of the painting place around the hotel.
Watch the sunset at the beach this is just something in Hawaii you got to see by yourself.

It's not a luxury hotel but it's the best mix of comfortable and reasonable.

The Good: Perfect location within walking distance of many swimmable beaches and good food spots / cafes in Kihei. Amazing reception desk and concierge staff, super friendly and gracious. Older but well-kept and quiet rooms with no wait times on elevators or check-in or check-out. Towel service for the pool and beach. Could not have asked for a better blend of convenience and value for a worthwhile stay in Maui.

Took the rental bikes (free for first 3 hours) out to explore and for morning rides. They also

We needed a room the day after Christmas in the Kihei/Wailea area and the Maui Coast Hotel was one of the few hotels that did not impose a minimum night stay. The rate for the junior suite ($425) was better on the travel site than the kamaaina rate.

The hotel is pretty simple and for the price you would expect a whole lot more, but it was busy season and we didn't want to stay at the Day's Inn. We had hoped our room would be ready before the 4pm check in, but it wasn't. The junior suite with 2 queen beds was spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were very comfy. There is

This is a review for the pool side cafe, we got a couple cocktails and for only $7 a drink it was a deal! I believe Tony was our server he was very friendly and sweet! He made a wonderful Maui Mohito and a kettle soda for us. The Maui Coast hotel is not fancy but it does have all the bells and whistle for the budget value seeker wanting a pool and a bar.

When passing by grab a drink and sit for a bit, the music was on point.
