The Mauian Hotel
The Mauian is a small, beachfront retreat nestled at the center of one of Maui's most beautiful beaches--crescent-shaped Napili Bay. Set amidst two acres of lush gardens and fragrant plumeria trees, the low-rise property is known for its nostalgic 1950s tropics architecture, warm hospitality, and laid-back ambiance.

The garden and beach views from our big balcony were stunning. A 30 seconds walk along the open deck or garden led to a soft sand beach with calm clear water, protected by a reef. It's the beach, the view, the rooms, the breakfast, the landscaping, but most of all, it is the staff that give this place.
Services
The 44-unit Mauian was built by a Hawaiian family in 1959 and over the decades has continued to retain its "old Hawaii" charm. Now offering stylishly-upgraded hotel rooms and studios, the Mauian combines the best of old and new: contemporary accommodations in a classic island-style setting with plenty of old-fashioned aloha.
The Mauian's 38 Studio units and 6 Hotel Rooms offer beautifully upgraded interiors featuring contemporary appliances, furnishings, and designer accents. Our Studios are all 350 square feet and designed like condos, with full kitchens for your convenience. Our Hotel Rooms do not include kitchen facilities.
The Mauian's Beachfront Studios are as close as you can get to the beach without getting your feet sandy! These four prime studio units are located directly off the beach, with private lanais providing panoramic views of the beach, bay, and beyond to the islands of Molokai and Lanai. All of our studios comfortably accommodate up to three people, with a hideaway sleeper bed.
Our Studios are all 350 square feet and designed like condos, with full kitchens for your convenience. Our Hotel Rooms do not include kitchen facilities. Pool View Studios are located in the Garden building near the pool, just a short walk to the beach. These units have private lanais that overlook the pool area and surrounding landscaped gardens.
Looking for a unique and memorable hotel for your Maui visit? You've found it! The Mauian is small, friendly, and perfectly situated on one of Maui's most beautiful beaches, featuring comfortable condo-style studios. How can we assist you? The Mauian does not have restaurants on property but there are restaurants right next door and also within walking distance.

Wonderful, small and quaint beachside motel. Beautifully manicured grounds and well-kept buildings and rooms show a lot of pride in the staff and owners. Parking can fill up if you're out late and the basic breakfast buffet left a little to be desired but not complaining... Overall was a great place to stay. We stayed in March which is the end of the best whale-watching season and saw many whales jumping and breaching right from their private beach area! Paddle board rental next door.

Intimate, old-time, charming. Simple amenities. Beautifully maintained gardens. Walk out your door to a sandy beach clear and sheltered for wading, floating and snorkeling. Fresh fruit/coffee provided each morning as well as easy walking access along beach to Sea House and The Gazebo.

We stayed here for two nights on our trip and overall had a pretty good experience!

The good:
- It's right on the beach, like I don't think you can get any closer! They also provide beach chairs!
- It's cheap for being right on the water. You can't find anywhere else that's under $300 a night with ocean views, a balcony, AND a kitchen with full size fridge!
- I have to emphasize again the amazing balcony because most of the balconies are beach-facing and you can enjoy the beautiful Maui beach sunset while eating or sitting on your balcony.

The okay:
- no TV, but

Small, quiet boutique hotel right on the beach. Beautiful gardens contribute to the Hawaiian vibe. Would stay here again.

Maui trip 8/17-8/23/2021!
*Vaccinated. Masked. Stayed away from large crowds as much as possible. Respected the land.*

Boyfriend and I stayed at The Mauian for two nights too short. It is so beautiful here!

It gives off such an at-home, comfortable vibe. The best part? The beach is walking distance- literally right outside your door! We absolutely loved the "beach sounds" at night aka the sound of the waves, the ocean hitting the shores. Definitely an *Alexa, play beach sounds* moment.

The room was spacious for a one bed. No TV but who needs it when you're in Hawaii? There&apos

I would never stay anywhere else. The beach, which is the best beach we went to on the island, is 50 yards away from the rooms. Snorkeling is all within walking distance. The staff was extremely kind and helpful with everything. We stayed for 9 days and absolutely loved it.

Oh my… wow! This was the gem of the island. It has an old boutique charm, right on the beach, not over crowded and the best part is the staff. Special shout-out to Justice, who helped coordinate activities by phone before we got here, Mrs Carmen who works so hard to accommodate breakfast for the guests and Albert who makes sure everyone is safe and secured I am blown away by the attention to detail when it comes to making a guest feel welcomed here. Do yourself a favor, book a room, enjoy the peace and quiet but don’t tell the entire world so it stays a special hidden gem! ;) also be sure to

From the pictures, this place looked very nice but it can be deceiving. When I checked in, they provide an actual key to the door and once I opened the door. It looked dated and no TV. I thought all hotels would have that but it was my fault for overlooking it. The best thing about the hotel was having so an easy access to the beach. They do provide beach chairs for you.

Move along, nothing to see here. This is definitely not the best little boutique hotel you will find on this side of the island. It definitely is not a cozy friendly vibe and has the best little bay for beach play and snorkeling. It’s location is probably not helpful, since it’s by so many other lovely bays where you often see turtles, and there’s only 3 amazing restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are probably not your style, they’re just very fine yet understated, relaxed, and dark. I slept so well on the bed, I couldn’t really tell you how the bed actually is. Nope, we don’t

Great location. Could walk to beach in 1 minute from the one bedroom suite. Helpful staff, beautiful grounds, convenient & free parking, fully equipped kitchen with granite counters (useful for all the cooking and take-out that we did), good queen bed and excellent shower to wash off the sand from swimming and snorkeling.
Only negative I can find were the woefully inadequate wine glasses------way too small to enjoy any aroma from any decent wine. Recommend each room have at least two 15-20 ounce wine glasses made of some clear crystal glass.

This place is a hidden gem- not crowded at all, with amazing views of the beach. We stayed in room 210, ocean view (full) and it was well worth the extra money. The free breakfast is pretty solid as well!

Today is Monday, and I'm just coming off a tranquil "staycation" at the Mauian. Truly one of the best places I've stayed. Even better then The Grand Wailea, in my opinion. To start...the staff was welcoming and pleasant, it was cute to see my name on the board welcoming me. The grounds create a quaint courtyard feel. Our room was located upstairs in clear view of the ocean. We stayed in room 211, and it was perfect for my husband and me. Cozy and spacious studio, that easily can sleep 4 people. The room included a well stocked kitchen and large refrigerator. The bathroom was

First of all, the staff (minus the front desk ladies) were so awesome and friendly--from the groundskeepers to housekeepers. They really are 5 stars. I think the hotel really owes them a lot for being a redeeming quality. They should get a raise for keeping this business open.

However, don't come here if you want peace and quiet. You will not get it. This place is more like a community where people come to socialize. It's noisy. There were tons of kids and babies screaming at 5am to wake up the whole community. The worst part is that the rooms are noisy. You can hear everything

Though I've yet to experience pure perfection, my holiday at The Mauian was very near to it.

The first stay, we were in room 205, just steps from the beach on the upper level. There were strange sounds coming from the bathroom and after contacting the staff, we were told that it was air in the water pipes, and nothing could be done. Okay, no biggie.

Our kitchen had nearly everything we needed in the event we wanted to cook, the bathroom amenities smelled delicious and were plentiful (there were extras under the sink).

From beach towels to beach chairs, robes, and a predictable yet delicious

I'd say this was an amazing place to stay and great service. We arrived after hours and they left a key and note for us so it was easy to get our room. (We arrived around 8pm)

Breakfast was hard boiled eggs, a sweet bread, butter, a toaster, fresh cut Mangos, 3 kinds of tropical juice and coffee.

The price might be a little high but you are so close to the almost private beach ( a 10 second walk) and watch the sunsets with chairs that the guests are welcome to us to use. Totally worth the price!

It also had a pool but we didn't bother to use it since the ocean was just there.

Pros: My son and I really enjoyed our stay in Napili Bay at the Mauian. We stayed three nights in a downstairs room ocean front and then moved and spent four nights in an upstairs room ocean front room due to availability. I would not recommend doing that because the move was kind of a pain especially since we had groceries and boogie boards I just wouldn't do that again. We were literally steps to the sand. I have never been so close to the water. The tropical landscaping is beautiful with lots of greenery lots of open space and an incredible view.
I took gorgeous sunset pictures and double

The Mauian is best way to experience Maui...! The atmosphere here is laid back and relaxed. Its not overly crowded like Ka'anapali beach and other parts of Maui. The guests and staff were all really friendly and location can't be any closer to the beach. The beach was our favorite part of staying here. You are literally steps from the beach. You don't have to go down long hallways, through big lobbyys, down elevators, etc...like a big hotel. You just walk out your door and you're 20' from the beach. The snorkeling was great the first day and we say turtles and plenty of

The Mauian Hotel is a great find in paradise. This hotel is in the perfect spot with the Napili Beach just a few steps from our hotel room. The fact that there are no TVs in the rooms only adds to the experience. If you absolutely need to watch something then you can watch tv in the community room or bring your own computer. The WiFi is easy to pick up in the rooms or you can again use your own data from your cell phone. The rooms are clean and updated. There is a kitchenette. So if you want to save money, you can bring your own groceries and cook up a great meal. The Mitch is stocked with dish

I'm not sure where all these negative reviews are coming from but I am currently staying here and couldn't be happier! No, there are no tvs or phones in the rooms. I didn't come to Maui to watch tv and who uses the hotel phone anyway?? There is no air conditioning, but open your windows, turn on your ceiling fans, and just chill out. Bring a fan if you feel the need but you won't need it. It says clearly there are no tvs or air conditioning on their website. This is not a surprise.

We have a partial ocean view room on the 2nd floor and it is perfect. We're talking about

The hotel is amazing and our parents, my husband and I had a wonderful time there. They serve fresh fruits in the morning and the kitchen is fully equipped. The yard is well decorated with all kinds of tropical trees. They also provide Hawaiian style rope, drying rack for each room. The staffs there are very friendly and nice. It's close to two beaches, one is good for turtle finding and one is good for snorkeling.

Cons:
1. They only serve coffee during breakfast time and there is a coffee maker but no coffee in the room.
2. We have a second floor room and the ocean view is kinda blocked
