Luckily, due to modern treatment technologies, the list of foods you can't eat with braces is pretty short. Soft foods may be easier to eat with braces, but there's no need to switch to a liquid diet or eat only soup. Avoid nuts and sticky, hard, or crunchy foods and bread crusts, as they can lead to broken braces.
Dr. Jared Gianquinto-known around the office as Dr. G-is a national leader in the orthodontics community, an awarded navy veteran, proud father, and aspiring bass guitar player (ask him about the guitars hanging in his office). Born and raised right here in Bakersfield, Dr. G trained at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, where he was inducted into the Endodontics and Oral Surgery honors societies.

Dr. G's dedication to the community started in Boy Scouts, where he eventually achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, not entirely because his parents wouldn't let him drive unless he finished. Throughout his career, he has served others through humanitarian relief missions, and served our country in the United States Navy Reserve for over twelve years.
We do all we can to help your kids feel safe, welcomed, and appreciated at our office, starting with friendly staff and comfortable treatments. My first daughter just completed her treatment with Dr. G. We saw two other orthos before we decided OrthoArts was for us! We loved his more conservative but innovative approach. The pricing was better even with the other two offering “specials.” Now that we’ve completed our treatment, (ahead of schedule yay!) I can honestly say every single visit was a pleasure. They’re always on time, professional, personable and amazing all the way around!! Every staff member was knowledgeable and made my daughter feel welcome and comfortable. Dr. G and his entire staff are the best! He has integrity and breaks things down as if you truly are part of the family. He is up front and honest about treatments needed, length of treatment and cost of treatment. Each person we encountered took the time to engage with my daughter and was very friendly! When my older kids needed braces, we visited a different orthodontist before visiting Dr. G and the choice was clear after meeting Dr. G. Orthoarts was the only way to go! I have an interesting predicament and had been to 3 doctors the day before looking for answers. Did not find any and was out a few hundred dollars. I called right before they were closing and they were able to see me first thing the next morning! I go in for a free consult and they took the coolest scan of my head!! Like impressive equipment and they were so thorough and friendly. He gave me expert advice in the friendliest bed side manner. I left knowing which direction I need to go in now. Thank God for Dr. G. He's incredibly easy on the eyes too. Two thumbs up.

I could not be more happy with the service that I have received from Dr. Gianquinto and his staff. We started seeing Dr. G over a year ago. Rather than automatically starting treatment, he took his time to fully assess my sons dental needs and was able to catch and solve potential complications before they caused additional difficulties with his teeth. When the time came to start treatment, Carrie and Nancy both took their time to thoroughly explain the process as well as my financial options. The billing lady Nancy is extremely rude and and has a disgusting attitude. Treat patients who have Med-cal differently than other patients, my son missed two appt and refused to see him again and terminated him as a patient and left us to find some one to remove his braces, will never refer or recommend this place of business to anyone!!!!!!!

Ortho Arts our braces on my daughter and gave us the best service! The office is clean, and and very comfortable for anyone who is waiting. There is an area for kids to play, if you have to take younger siblings with you.
The doctor always come out and let's me know how the status on my daughter's braces and how her teeth have moved the way they were supposed to. He's kept her a little bit ahead of schedule. He's extremely helpful, answers any questions you have and very informative. Very, very nice!!

Dr. Gianquinto is an amazing orthodontist. Both he and his staff are amazing with kids and are great to work with. They care about their patients and go to great lengths to ensure everyone (patients and parents alike) is comfortable while in the office and under their care. I wouldn't trust my kids' orthodontic care to anyone else!!!

After four estimates, we landed at Orthoarts and are so glad we did! Their office is clean, simple, conveniently located and fun (they do have a wii). Their staff is efficient (short wait times!) and always friendly. Dr G is honest and professional. He knows his stuff! Best of all, his estimate was much lower than the rest.
