Marian Fischer was the Wedding Coordinator at the world famous Highlands Inn in Carmel Highlands for over 20 years. Throughout her years at the Inn, she assisted thousands of couples from all over the world begin their lives together. Many of them are still in contact with her family today. Her love for helping couples have the wedding of their dreams led her to begin Carmel Weddings in 1981.

My friends needed a quick, simple wedding. Kathee was so easy to communicate with throughout the process and she followed through on all of her promises. She went out of her way to find a venue for the ceremony, with my friends' budget restrictions in mind. She made it clear that she was on top of everything from the very beginning which took a lot of stress away from the bride and groom. Thank you Kathee!

If you are looking for a wedding planner which is uncomplicated, open for all your wishes and will take care of everything for the big day you found the right place. If you are more the long term planner Kathi might not be the right fit. She is hard to get a hold off sometimes This is why I gave only 4 stars. The real planning with her really only starts a couple weeks before. However there was absolutely nothing missing during the ceremony.

We had a fantastic wedding at the beach thanks to Kathie. We originally wanted to have something small for around 39 people and gad no idea how to organize it. We left a message and I got a call back from Kathie the next day. She was very informative and took a lot if weight out of our shoulders. She took care of the ceremony at the beach and pointed us in the right direction by recommending places for the reception. We organized everything two months prior and by doing it pretty last minute everything came out awesome. Nobody can predict the weather two months in advance and we were blessed that

Kathee is AMAZING. I had a bigger wedding at 85+ guests and she delivered on everything! The decorations were gorgeous they were exactly how i envisioned. She even gave me the flowers and palm fronds afterwards. She came and did a rehearsal the day before and was there the whole time from set up to break down. I was in contact with her from the start of planning in September 2018 till now and my wedding has been done since 4.13.19 I had ZERO stress. I came across Carmel Weddings while searching for wedding planners in the Carmel, CA who specialize in outdoor weddings that are elopement style or intimate. I emailed and Kathee replied with a list of a-la-carte options and options to customize the packages. She offered very reasonable prices and high quality and very personalized service. First I should have checked yelp as your "business" has two stars and usually people are very generous in bad businesses.
First we contacted Kathee 6 months prior too my wedding date concerning name changes and a limited wedding on the beach next to the Tides hotel in sand city. These were the only requests and others were meant to be handled in a one on one meeting that Kathee was a NO SHOW to after my bride to be and I drove from Livermore, CA almost two hours and waited for one additional hour since she was a no show.

Kathee is very slow to respond whether by phone or email. I sent her the requested information twice and she called asking for the same information two days before the wedding. We emailed Rev Duda our revised sermon twice and he read a different sermon at the ceremony. The flowers looked nothing like the photo I sent for the florist, even though I paid an additional $75. The photographer said he would edit some of the photos and didn't edit any. We had an appointment to meet him at 10 and had to call him. He overslept and we had to wait an hour and twenty minutes for him to burn a CD. Mediocre

To my surprise, two weeks (!!!) before my wedding date, Kathy called and left me a voicemail telling me we should get to work on my wedding details. Now I'm a fairly laid back person

I booked my wedding date with Kathee and had additional questions, I have been calling, emailing and leaving voice mails and have not heard back from her at all. Don't waste your time, contact someone who is responsible and loves their job when it comes to your dream wedding. btw I never got a contract or any sort of confirmation (just verbal) she is quick to get you off the phone, rushes trough your questions and doesn't pay attention to your wants and needs. I wish I can give less than I star!

I do not like giving bad reviews, however; with something as important as your wedding, I feel it is important to review Carmel Weddings honestly. I booked with Kathee over a year ago to save the date. Six months before the date I emailed and called her to discuss details. It took a long time for her to get back to me and when she did, she let me know that she changed the venue due to some new beach regulations. Had I not inquired, I don't know how long it would have taken her to tell me I would be getting married on Pebble Beach instead of Carmel Beach. That is not what I wanted and luckily

Well I am glad I Yelp them. I barely got started planning my daughters wedding. After only two days of emailing Kathee I realized if she can't comprehend my emails I don't think she's going to be the right person. Every single response she answered something completely different than I had stated.

I would avoid Kathee at all costs! My husband and I hired her to help with our long distance wedding in Carmel about 10 months before the wedding date. I tried to no avail to get ahold of her during those months for help. Kathee called me three days before the wedding date and asked me if I was ready to start planning the wedding!! Really?! Three whole days to plan a wedding!! I would not recommend her!

Worst experience ever! Luckily I am a early planner, because this experience would have been horrible to a person on a deadline. My marriage is a year from now and I hired this place for a small gathering that we wanted to have. First Katherine and I have been going back and forth through emails because I was not able to reach her and I have a busy schedule as well so I was not really worried. When the time came to send our deposit, I did and requested a confirmation that she had received it. Weeks go by with no response. As I'm waiting my fiance and I get worried and finally after more weeks

She recommended several florists, as we made our own arrangements on the flowers; and fortunately, after interviewing a couple of those choices, we did find Nancy at Mid-Valley Florist in downtown Carmel, an excellent person to work with.

I've called twice over the past month giving a detailed message both times. The second time I even gave what I'd probably want and not want. I have yet to be even called back to say they got my message. Busy or not, answer the phone of your business or at the very least do the courtesy of calling interested clients back.

Kathee was a horrible wedding planner!!! I think she had other things on her mind than my daughters wedding. I could never get ahold of her and when I had questions, she always made it seem like I was bothering her.
Two days before the wedding she wanted to cancel the rehearsal, my daughter was already nervous about the ceremony. I was surprised she would even think about doing a stupid thing like canceling a rehearsal ceremony.
Kathee is definitely flaky, and an airhead, she did not care about the brides feelings.
I would never use Carmel weddings or Kathee again!!!!!

I called her to ask if she was available for the date of my wedding. She said yes. I gave her a list of services I wanted, and she kept saying, "sure sure sure", impatiently. It didn't sound like she was writing anything down or paying any attention to me, so I sent her an e-mail with an itemized list of services and prices for confirmation. She confirmed via e-mail. I then said I wanted a signed contract in the mail. She then said she was busy on that date.
