Right in the center of the Town of Woodstock, the house at Twin Gables was built in the 1880s as a private home on Tinker Street. It was established as a Boutique Hotel in 1926, when artists Mr. & Mrs. Alfred Daiber (of Brooklyn, NY) purchased the 19th-century home at the height of Woodstock's first flowering as a center for creative people.
It was an unprecedented time in Woodstock's history - the beginning of the Byrdcliffe Arts Colony - which served as a Utopian artists' community, attracting free-spirits and bohemians from around the world. Our #littlearthotel was created by artists, for artists almost 100 years ago and with its revival in 2020, it continues to serve the creative community and beyond.

My best friend and I met last week in Woodstock at Twin Gables for only one night. Both of our rooms were very clean, well equipped and each was uniquely decorated. The Innkeeper, LeAnn, is a gem. She is the most helpful and kind innkeeper I have ever met, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. We sat out at the charming fire pit in the early evening and were able to walk to a fabulous dinner in town. Although the ideal location, fun decor and cozy beds were all topnotch, LeAnn made it seem as if we were guests in her house, which was the best feeling. In the morning, we skipped

I spent a few days here back in April and absolutely loved this place! Super friendly owners in a super cute and kitschy B&B. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating to families and solo travelers alike. When I was on the bus on the way up, LeAnn gave me a heads up just to let me know that there was going to be a bonfire with toasted marshmallows for the children and that she'd be in the backyard when it was time for me to check in. The inn is filled with cute decor with a retro chic and the rooms are clean, comfortable and stylish. Also a very convenient location right in the middle

Located center of town, easy access to park, shops and attractions. The B&B is clean and retains much old fashioned charm of yesterday with updated amenities. Great place for relaxing , enjoy a cup of hot coffee, or warm yourself by the fireplace or fire ring outside, play games in the common room and just sit in the enclosed gazebo. The hostess is lovely and attentive.

I had not been back to Woodstock in 30 years and I decided to drive up for a day. I made a reservation at Twin Gables because I remembered that it was right on a tinker street close to everything.
I was delighted to find that it has gotten a chic boho makeover while still maintaining its charm and quaintness.
The manager was exceptionally friendly and accommodating letting me check in very early and then switching me to a room she thought would be more to my liking. Later she made a fire outside and poured me some wine and I sat and met some very nice guests. I told her about a disappointing

No words offer proper justice to how special a stay we had at Twin Gables. LeAnn and Stephanie went wayyy above and beyond to support our wedding ceremony and luncheon. They accommodated each and every short notice request - no matter how trivial nor silly - to make our wedding unforgettable. Twin Gables is sweet and charming, well kept and clean.
Thank you, LeAnn and Stephanie!
