Hi, I am Jen, but MOST people call me "Jolly", which is truly who I am. I am the owner and photographer of JollyJenPhotography Studio located in the Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia area. My studio specializes in high school senior portrait photography, family portrait photography, and corporate head shots/ commercial photography.
JollyJenPhotography enjoys helping other businesses succeed by assisting with professional photography that will enable them to promote or sell a product or service. JJP has worked with local publications to capture the essence of Smith Mountain Lake including landscapes, sunsets and landmarks. JJP has photographed products such as jewelry and food for some of the surrounding businesses in the Westlake area.

We love capturing the personality of each senior, to create memories for a lifetime. Every senior has a different idea for their senior portraits (some girls have been saving their fav pics to their Pinterest page since middle school) and JollyJenPhotography thrives on capturing their dreams.
I think Jolly Jen did an outstanding job on my senior pictures. She made them exactly what I wanted and made the picture taking/ ordering process so easy! She helps you with everything down to what outfits would look awesome in your pictures. Jen is so helpful and I would recommend her to anyone! Working with Jolly Jen was so much more than just snapping a few senior photos!

Jen is not only an amazing photographer, she is an exceptional human being. It shows through her work, attitude, and personality! She makes you feel comfortable and confident, and the photos are amazing!! Our session with her was so much fun, and she provided a great experience! Her staff members are pretty awesome, too! I would recommend her every time!!

Jolley Jen. First thoughts, explosive energy and fun! I’ve had two high school senior sessions with Jen and was blown away at how she was able to capture the individuality of both of my girls. She is highly motivated to make your child take the best photo she can. She keeps the sessions running with high energy, excitement, and fun. She is willing to do what it takes to get that photo! Jen makes each person taking that photo feel as if they are the center of the universe.The finished product she puts out in the end is unbelievable. The time she spends making sure you get what you want is priceless

I would just like to start by saying a big thank you to Jolly Jen Photography, and anyone else who made my senior shoot one I will never forget! Not only does Jen capture who you are as a person and your personality she is the life of the party at any shoot she does. I’ve taken pictures before, but no one has made me feel so confident in myself and like I could do anything in a picture, and she is always down for a new adventure. If I was ever going to recommend anyone to take any pictures for you it would absolutely be Jolly Jen Photography!

JollyJen did a phenomenal job with both my kid's senior portraits, going above and beyond to make them custom and unique to capture their own personalities. We've also done family portraits with her that are fabulous as well. Definitely one of the finest Roanoke and Smith Mountain Lake photographers around! She pays attention to the small details and truly a joy to work with!
