Dr. Barbara Griffith: Dr. Griffith graduated from Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1976 and has been a full-time small-animal veterinarian ever since then!
After gaining experience by working for other veterinarians in both New Orleans, Louisiana and Redford, Michigan, Dr. Griffith and her partner opened Griffith Veterinary Hospital in Westland, Michigan (which is now under different ownership, but the name remains), and then they opened this hospital in Whitmore Lake in 1986.2. After shattering her knee cap, she learned the therapeutic quality of swimming and has been an avid swimmer ever-since.

Services
At Griffith Veterinary Hospital, we offer a wide assortment of services aimed to prevent, diagnose, and treat our patients. Pharmacy- We stock our own pharmacy here in the hospital and can often fill your pet's prescription during their exam to help you get on your way faster. You can also call us during our normal business hours to request a prescription refill and we can have it ready and waiting for you to stop by!

I have taken my dog Becca there a few times when she had a UTI. They always got her in even though they are very busy.
Becca started to get worse in her health
I left a message Friday night and I received a call right in the morning from the Doctor
I thought they would just tell us we could not come
They were very booked but did get Becca in and we decided it was time for her to go to a better place
They made the situation that was very hard for me some what bearable.
I think the Doctor is very kind

My 2 cats and 2 dogs have been patients for 8 months now. The staff are very helpful and friendly, it's easy to get an appointment, they have a great set up for collecting your pets from you and the vets come out to speak to you when there's an issue going on with your pet. One of our pets has aggressive cancer diagnosed by Dr Griffith and CNS, so he is now under MSU for chemo, but the I can get all my meds and food from here, they always ask how he is and we have discussed end of life and they were very reassuring that they'll be there for us when the time comes. Would highly recommend this practice

I have no idea how this place gets any positive reviews. We took our cat in for some constipation issues and was told she had a UTI. They gave us medicine and sent us on our way. Dr. Griffith spent almost no time with our cat. She said the creatinine levels in her kidneys were elevated a bit, but it was probably due to the UTI. We treated our cat for the UTI, but then she got a lot worse within the next couple of months. She wasn't having bowel movements at all and had barely eaten in days. I called to make an appointment with Dr. Griffith but was told they could possibly "squeeze me in" a week

Dr. Barb, I swear, is an angel sent down from above to help these pets. She is one of the kindest people that I have ever met and my family could not be more thankful to her and the staff herr at Griffith. We have been coming to her for over 14 years without a single complaint. From the bottom of my heart, I cannot recommend coming here for veterinary services enough. You will not regret it.

Dr. Griffith saved our cat's leg when he got a horrible infection. She is a wonderful person and vet. Her clinic is so cool. I love the log cabin on the lake. She always gives great advice and is so personable. The staff and atmosphere at Griffith Vet are top notch.

Griffith Veterinarian, Barb Griffith, has taken care of both of my dogs. She has always provided excellent care. She is so compassionate & takes care of pets like they are her own. My Bernie of almost 13 years old has now passed. I know in my heart that it was Dr. Barb's care that helped him to be so healthy right up to his last days. Thank you to all the staff at Griffith! When I find it in my heart to get a puppy, I will surely have the puppy under the care of Griffith.
