A child's life should be filled with the highest-level of love, comfort and care. At Caris, we understand the decision to seek hospice care for a child is a particularly difficult and heartbreaking one. Pediatric patients and their families face a situation that requires the utmost level of compassion from a hospice care provider.
Caris Healthcare created Caris Transitions to streamline communication and ensure patients receive hospice services when appropriate. We recognize a call to Caris is a call for help. If we receive a referral from a physician and the patient is not eligible or ready for hospice services, we continue to be a resource for the patient and family through Caris Transitions.
We provide world-class hospice care and a seamless partnership between Caris and those referring in the medical community. Our streamlined referral process eliminates delays in the collaboration of care. Refer through our HIPAA-compliant online form, send us a fax (866-694-7878) or call 866-694-4848 to refer a patient 24 hours a day.

My father was under the care of Caris for only a few short weeks but that was more than enough for him to horrifically suffer during his last few days. I was appalled at the lack of accurate care provided by Caris. Orders for meds were not received and there was NO followup. Orders were not provided for relief from his suffering as I understand that is the purpose of Hospis, I.e. a peaceful and painless passing. I blame Caris for the pain my father endured until his passing. #carelessnotcaris

Our Mother had been supported by Caris for about 6 months, and Mom just passed away recently.
The people we came in contact with from Caris were outstanding. Brittany, who bathed Mom over the last 6 months, was loved by Mom and it was clear that Brittany loved our Mom as well. When Mom passed away, Beth was just super - coming to us immediately after Mom passed away in the middle of the night - and taking care of many things we were not in condition to handle. The Chaplain, whose name I can not remember was wonderful. She was very supportive and comforting. Thank you so much!
