For example, did you know that most people actually qualify for lower mortgage rates than lenders offer them? That's right. If you've been quoted a rate for a home purchase or refinance, you probably qualify for a lower rate!
But if you look under the hood, you'll find that the lowest rate and payment are often not the best deal! To understand why, you need to know how rates and fees affect each other. We call this the Teeter Totter. Why is this important? Because you have choices about how your loan is structured. You can choose a lower rate with higher fees, or vice versa.
Wholesale rate sheets and pricing adjustments. Once a day - or even several times a day when rates are changing rapidly - lenders get wholesale rate sheets from investors who buy mortgage loans. The rate sheets spell out the current interest rates for each loan program, along with a list of "pricing adjustments."

Zack Blackman was great. I've done MANY refinances in my life and usually I've been made to jump though many circus hoops even with a great income proof of an awesome credit..Zack made this so much easier..Explained clearly and consistently. Duc-Hanh Nguyen was the most professional, knowledgeable, kind, respectful, hardworking, fast paced individual I have ever worked with. I decided to do a refinance to get my monthly payment down. I started talking with my current lender and was treated very rudely. I subsequently received a letter in the mail for Catalyst Mortgage and called and spoke to Duc-Hanh Nguyen. I was pleasantly pleased with how friendly and how easy the process of refinancing was.
