I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I enjoy working with individuals and couples as well as children of all ages, with particular expertise working with women and members of the gender and sexual diversity (GSD) community. I welcome families of all stripes who are looking for a safe and nonjudgmental place to sort through the hard work of making a family work for everyone involved.
As a former women's self-defense instructor, I bring to my work an understanding of the issues of violence, harassment and abuse that women can face in their everyday lives as well as knowledge about possible solutions. My style is interactive and straightforward. I have experience with brief therapy as well as longer term work.

Services
Living and working in a small rural community myself, I understand the particular limitations and difficulties of small town life. If you live in a rural community with limited access to therapy or concerns about confidentiality when accessing therapy in your own community, then virtual therapy may be an option worth exploring.
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. I do participate as an in-network provder on multiple panels. Please check with your insurance plan to determine if I am in your network. Depending on availability, I am happy to negotiate a fee lower than my full fee on a case by case basis.
I am not seeing clients at the Albany location for the time being. Some insurance plans do offer telephonic services. You will need to call the number on your card to verify your benefits. Please be advised that as a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed by the state of California, I am only able to work with individuals or couples who reside in California.
