Lydia's Flowers is a full-service retail florist located in the Financial District of San Francisco, California. We started at our Embarcadero location in 1981 providing floral services to the San Francisco area, but have since expanded to provide services worldwide. Lydia's specializes in the Sogetsu Ikebana () style, which is a specialized school of Japansese floral art.
The style traces itself back to 1927, when the school was founded in Japan by Sofu Teshigahara. Sogetsu Ikebana is famous for its "Anyone, anywhere, anytime with any kind of material, " credo which lends itself as an art form that can suit any kind of space or occasion. We pride ourselves in our commitment to the best designs and customer service.

Same day delivery is available for orders placed before noon and can only be scheduled for delivery in the afternoon (12pm - 5pm). Please get in touch with us through our contact page if you have any special requests.

You must be at the top! I was feeling happy when your staff gave me your bestseller bouquet. I like it very much because it was fresh and attractive to the eyes. We have been going to this florist for over 3 years and not only the quality and the arrangements are incredible, their customer service is amazing! The flowers designed for our mother funeral was beyond our expectation. Ivy had created an exceptional job, its simple but very elegant. We were very pleased with all the beautiful sprays she did. After a full week the flowers still look beautiful and fresh in our living room. The flowers Ivy chosen was top notch and high quality. I highly recommend Lydia's Flowers.

I called and said "$65 total. Please make it beautiful and I trust you will." This is theUGLY arrangement that was delivered. Embarrassed is an understatement!

Great store with lots of varieties of flowers. I’m giving it a low rating because of the personality of the owner (I presume Lydia). She charged me 5x the price. I should have picked up on it when she “accidentally” quoted a lower amount over the phone. I had to buy the flowers for an event in the next hour and she knew that — so she increased the price. Will never go back again. Just be careful folks - and remember you’ll get cheaper options and more honest / friendly staff at the flower shops elsewhere in San Francisco.

Lydia's Flowers is AMAZING! Juliet was so friendly and helpful! A friend recommended Lydia's Flowers when I was looking for a florist for a nonprofit event. Juliet knew we were on a budget and she worked hard to get us gorgeous flowers within our budget! The centerpieces were so beautiful! I got so many compliments from everyone!

Lydia and her team are amazing!!! I hired them to decorate my venue including the center-pieces, chair covers, the cake the bouquet, and the boutonniere. I sent her a few pictures of the color scheme I was looking for and Lydia pulled off everything with flying colors. The room was transformed into an elegant space with her magical touch. She has a ton of experience with weddings and she is able to offer suggestions that saved me $$ but at the same time achieve the desired effect. I couldn't be happier with my decision to go with her and would highly recommend Lydia if you are looking

Had a bit of a wedding flower fiasco the day before my wedding. Went in to Lydia's to order a bridal bouquet and a boutonniere for the groom and was pretty nervous... wondering if the request could be fulfilled. I was told no problem! That we could pick-up at 9:00 a.m. the next morning. The pricing was also very good - right around what I expected.
Also - my flowers were BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I received so many compliments about my flowers. I am SO glad the others I had planned on did not work out.

Just came back from Lydia's flowers with a co-worker. We were able to order balloons and have them delivered to our office for an event. Lydia is so helpful and the flower shop has a very calming feel. She has these canaries that were singing! The merchandise (flowers and plants) are very well taken care of. If you let her know your budget she'll help you with picking out something or putting together a gift.

I just had flowers delivered to my wife's office at Pier 9 by Lydia's (see posted pictures) for Valentine's Day. I was not only embarrassed by the quality of the bouquet (in front of my wife's entire office), but also that I paid $92.00 for it. Based on how Lydia's treats local clients, and how willing they are rip off their customers, I would strongly advise going elsewhere. I will continue to try to find a good place to order flowers..if anyone has a good recommendation please let me know!

Flowers are nice, but the arrangement are quite boring. Perhaps less than ordinary flowers from the grocery store.
However, I do like their small potted plants, as they have an interesting variety of them. And the prices for those are decent, and they will wrap in tissue paper and ribbon should you ask for it.
