Laser therapy is a painless and drug-free tool that successfully treats many common conditions seen at our clinic. At Belle Chasse Veterinary Clinic, we understand that you want to keep you pet healthy as long as possible, and veterinary dental care is one of the most important factors for the longevity of your pet. One of the most important tools for veterinarians today is blood work and diagnostic testing and we at Belle Chasse Veterinary Clinic have the equipment to test these in-house.
Services
Did you know that your pet can live longer by receiving regular dental care? Without regular cleanings by a veterinarian, bacteria build up on the teeth and gums potentially causing damage to the liver, kidneys, and heart over time. At Belle Chasse Veterinary Clinic, we understand that you want to keep you pet healthy as long as possible, and veterinary dental care is one of the most important factors for the longevity of your pet.
Does your pet scratch, bite, or lick their coat and skin excessively? Are they displaying signs of hair loss and skin abrasions? All dogs and cats occasionally itch, which is perfectly normal. However, when the scratching continues for several days, or the skin and coat begin to suffer, it may indicate they are suffering from a dermatologic condition.
Diagnostic tools such as blood work analyzers and radiography (x-ray) units are critical for veterinary clinics, due to the fact that our pets are unable to communicate what is wrong when they have a problem. This fact has led our veterinarians to invest in the most advanced x-ray unit available in veterinary medicine, a digital radiography unit.
Veterinary services at Belle Chasse Veterinary Clinic are provided each weekday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and on Saturday from 8:00 am until noon. If your pet experiences a medical issue outside our normal business hours, please contact the Westbank Pet Emergency Clinic at (504)392-1932. The emergency clinic is located at 1152 Terry Pkwy, Terrytown, LA 70056.
Were you aware that both dogs and cats can develop heartworm disease? Heartworm disease has been diagnosed in all 50 states, but it is especially prevalent in warm, humid climates just like ours in southeast Louisiana. Heartworms are parasites that can be transmitted to our pets through the bite of an infected mosquito.

Positive: Professionalism
The doctors and staff are very knowledgeable and show great concern when it comes to the animals. Mr. Beasley is at that age where he is there more often than I like. They have my trust and appreciation for what they do. I wouldn take Mr. Beasley to just anyone. If you’re on the fence, give them a try. One visit and you’ll see.

Lazy staff leads to injured animals!!!!
I had an appointment for 2 weeks for the sole purpose of getting heart worm protection. 30 minutes into the appointment they tell me they have to mix the medication and it will be another 30 minutes. Their poor planning had my child waiting outside for an hour for a ride.
They recommended I switch heart worm protection but did not tell me of any possible side effects. An hour after receiving the injection my dog went into shock and almost died and all they could say was they were sorry.
The staff here are lazy and careless.
After asking around I found

Only place I've brought my pets since I've been in the area. Always quick to get us in, straight forward medical assistance. One of my pups has old grandpa skin and has had to have gashes stitched twice and they have gone out of their way to make him feel comfortable as well as our annual appointments.
