Quality Care Animal Hospital is proud to serve Herrin, IL and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet, and giving them the same loving attention and care.
We are extremely proud of our dedicated team. We hire only the best and most experienced employees to become a part of our team here at Quality Care Animal Hospital. Our team is filled with highly dedicated animal lovers who are well trained at their jobs. They will do anything possible for their patients and the owners who love them.
These tasks can be quite problematic at home, so we are pleased to be able to offer this service to our clients and their pets. We find that nail trims are a common task many clients do not like doing. They try to do it at home, but there is often a struggle, and they worry about hurting their pets in the process.
We provide boarding services for our clients only and do not accept boarders that we do not know. By doing this we know the history of every boarder that enters our facility. This also keeps our boarding numbers lower so that our staff can give optimal attention to each boarder and monitor them closely.
Quality Care Animal Hospital is not open 24 hours a day but we do provide after hours emergency services for our clients. Regular clients can call the hospital number after hours and listen to a recording that tells them how to contact Dr. Parton for help. After properly following instructions on the recording clients are usually talking with Dr. Parton within 5 minutes.

Dr. Parton is a compassionate veterinarian. He took my after hours call after midnight after my parrot had been attacked by a cat. I was beside myself and he helped calm me. This was after calling so many other veterinarians that were rude and also wouldn’t see a bird. The next morning he saw my parrot. He saved my little Mater’s life and I’ll never forget him. The prices were very good and his staff were friendly and caring as well.

Please Be Wary of this Veterinary Practice. We saw Dr. Jeffery Parton yesterday and I would highly recommend choosing a different vet for proper treatment. He was very arrogant and forceful with us, but what upset me the most is also... was yelling at the very l elderly lady in the next room over there is NO need to be that way and scream at old ladies. She was almost in tears walking out. Shame on him.

Horrible Experience.
I took my dog to Quality Care Animal Hospital due to an emergent situation. It was around 630pm when my 8 pound dog was attacked by a larger dog in our back yard. All vets had closed. I was able to get ahold of this vet and for an additional $125 fee, he met me at his office. My dog had lacerations to the lower half of his body, which were covered in small rocks, dirt, etc. Once Dr. Parton finished with my fur baby, I was told that a drain tube had been placed, to make a return appointment in a week and then sent home with 2 medications; one for pain and one an antibiotic

Only vet that was able to get us in last minute. Not to mention the only vet that actually showed any care or concern for what my dog had going on. When I called every vet in southern Illinois and asked "is there was any way to be seen for an emergency visit today?" Every single other vet said "no we are full Call carbondale emergency clinic".(who had a 4 hour wait and couldn't guarantee service due to more urgent cases taking priority rightfully so). As soon as I spoke with the nice lady on the phone from quality care, she actually asked me what was going on and put me on hold to speak with the

Dr Pardon and staff have treated our rabbit and dog with so much health and happiness. Our rabbit Mardi Gras from 2 weeks to 9 years old. Our dog Jax, has been going to QCAH since he 3 weeks. We feel very secure when we take vacations and leave hime 2 weeks at a time. We say "Let's Go See Dr. Jeff" and he can not get in the truck fast enough. Jax is 7 years old and has a second home at Dr. Jeff's.

They have experience treating rabbits and have been a great resource for my rabbit, Bonkers. My rabbit lived a long and happy life of 9 years, and Quality Care helped him do that. Bonkers actually passed away today, so part of my healing process is reaching out to those that have been important in his life. The vet and technicians were so good… and holding him safely, which is difficult for squirmy rabbits. They were so supportive and nice today, when Bonkers passed away. I was so shocked and upset by his passing that I did not really realize until now that today's visit cost me less than

Dr. Parton and staff have always been wonderful. We recently lost our sweet Maggie, and they were helpful and kind throughout the entire process. They knew just how much Maggie meant to our family and that the bond we had with her was incredibly deep. Maggie had her share of issues before she got cancer too.
