Massage therapy was suggested to him by many friends over the years and seemed the perfect way to combine his athletic passions with a sincere interest in helping others.Chad passed the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork Exam and the Oregon Board of Massage Therapist Practical Exam in April of 2014 and became a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in the state of Oregon.

At Transcend Healing Arts, we specialize in several therapeutic modalities, which we will tailor according to your unique needs. Swedish massage is the most common type of massage. It involves many different types of strokes that include soft, long and kneading strokes, as well as light percussion style strokes with rhythmic sequences.
When an issue is causing you excessive pain that never seems to go away, a deep tissue massage is usually a good option to take part in. It can bring relief to aches and inflammation, increase flexibility; as well as, regain a balanced range of motion. Deep tissue massage is best used to address adhesions "knots" in your muscles that are causing you chronic pain.
A stressful life wreaks havoc on our bodies. Busy schedules and long work hours build tension and stress and our body pay the consequence. The constant production of stress hormones cause pain and even digestive problems or sleeplessness. A Swedish Massage can take those problems away by changing your brain chemistry, relieving your stress, and lightening your mood.
Cupping is an ancient therapy practiced by Egyptian, Chinese, and European civilizations dating as early as 1,500 B.C. Cupping therapy is documented in one of the oldest medical textbooks in the world, the Ebers Papyrus, which describes Egyptians using cupping therapy. In Ancient Greece, cupping was used to treat internal diseases and structural problems.

I have had a shoulder that was stiff and painful for 4 months, could barely raise my arm to put it on the steering wheel when I was driving. I rested it, iced it, heated it and used a TENS unit. It just was not getting better. Yesterday I spent an hour with Chad working on it and today my pain is down to almost nothing and I can raise my arm past my shoulder pretty easily.

After getting in a wreck, Chad worked wonders on my "how are you feeling?" shrug answers. A lovely human and a very very good investment in health and body wellness. I cannot overstate what Chad and Transcend Healing did for me. He was my first massage therapist and from here on out the golden standard of therapeutic and restorative touch. Don't hesitate to trust him with your pain, or if something just feels "off". He will find it and make it better.
