Blepharitis is a common eye condition that is characterized by chronic inflammation of the eyelids. You may have dry and crusty eyelids or even swelling and redness of the eyelids. Symptoms of Blepharitis may include dried flakes on the lashes. This may cause redness and inflammation of the skin around the lashes.
Most often cataracts start small and progress slowly but as they advance they can cause a decrease of vision and eventually blindness. Luckily there are very good treatment options for cataracts. There are many reasons that you may develop a cataract. The natural reason is prolonged or long-term exposure to ultraviolet light like the sun.
If you have been told you need cataract surgery, don't worry. The procedure is both safe and effective. Also you are not alone. Cataract surgery is the most common surgery performed in America. After surgery you will have an improvement in your vision and possibly won't even need glasses. Your doctor may discuss options with you for different lens implants that are available during cataract surgery.
Diabetic retinopathy is the most common eye problem that stems from diabetes. Changes and damage to the blood vessels in the retina cause leakage of blood, swelling, and microaneurysms to occur. These changes can easily be seen during your eye exam. The advanced form of diabetic retinopathy is seen as new blood vessels abnormally growing where they should not be.

You know I tend to give people benefit if he doubt when it comes to things I feel or as far as ones attitude towards a situation. I took my father to this place because his regular eye doctor saw glaucoma and cataracts. So the nurses did work up

Make sure you ask if the doctor is in. They had us wait for three hours with no notice and after 3 hours when I finally asked if the doctor was even there, he wasn't. They could have informed us from the beginning.
They had always let me in with my elder mother, but this time they said only the patient. I thought it was due to Covid protections but when I finally entered for my mother there were around 20 patients crammed in a room waiting for a doctor that wasn't there. So they were fully aware of the extreme delay from the beginning. They should have said so.

Great service. From the receptionist down to the Drs. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, the receptionist explained the costs before anything was done, she was super nice. The 2 technicians that took care of me were very knowledgeable and extremely kind. I went to see Dr. Palermo and he did a great job. Took the time to explain everything in detail, was honest and extremely gentle with my sore eyes. Mask use is enforced, wiped the machines down before my face touched them.Super clean. Would definitely recommend. They have parking right in front of the building which was a great convenience.

The staff is always efficient and patient with me. They take the time to make sure I know what is being done for me and answer any questions I have. They make me feel like a person, not just a number. Doctor Sharma is always personable, careful about the details, patient and informative. He really likes what he is doing and it shows. I trust him to take care of my eyes.

I absolutely love Dr. Palermo and his staff!!! Professionalism and caring about patients is on point! The atmosphere the attitude the staff everyone is so friendly and caring. Any concerns they go above and beyond to take care of their patients. I definitely recommend this eye clinic to anybody who needs an eye doctor.
