I’ve been going to Dr. Vo for over seven years and will continue to do so for as long as I have eyeballs and live in the Houston area. He’s kind, personable, and has helped me through any eye issues that came up. He goes out of his way for his patients. I’ve ran out of contacts unexpectedly and he’s given me samples to hold me over until my order came in. Most recently, I locked my car key inside my car at the clinic and he called his tow truck service to help me. I really cannot say enough good things about Dr. Vo and all the people in the office.

Completely recommend Dr. Vo! I just had a contact/glasses emergency while I was on vacation with the family. And he personally stayed on the phone with me until I had my emergency resolved! I’m a dentist, and of course everyone knows that emergencies always happen at 5 pm on a Friday (happened to me)! I’m so thankful for their service! Also the glasses they have are super cute! Got some Prada and Ray Bans!

I went to Dr Vo years ago for my 1st eye exam and rated him 5 stars. I have been back twice over the years and guess what? He is still awesome!
I love that he truly is patient with me and explains everything. I went in for contacts and being a newbie- he totally walked me thru it and gave me all the time I needed.
He will be my eye doc forever. *smiley face*

Had been going to the same eye Doctor for 5 years. Always thought vision was just expensive. Just so happen to miss my appointment and they were booked so after a little google search I came here. Very professional and welcoming staff. Easy intake process. I was warmly greeted and informed of the process step by step. My eye doctor also tried to save me money! I felt I was in great care. My previous doctor would prescribe based on commission. These high tech lenses, etc that I didn't need. I came here and these are the most comfortable and clear lenses I've ever had. I've been going here for an annual exam since grade school and the service has always been excellent! Dr. Vo is a very friendly person and even takes note of personal details, such as the college I am attending, to have quality conversations during each visit. The front desk staff are also friendly and easy to communicate with.
I held off on coming due to the pandemic, but I was very impressed with their COVID safety precautions as they notify each patient to bring a face mask AND call before entering to avoid crowding. I was the only patient in the office during my visit, and per usual

I've been a patient for probably several years and can't recommend them enough. Dr. Vo is so nice and the staff too. Contacts are priced competitively as are frames and lenses. His staff helped me pick out my frames a couple times too and I've always been pleased with their recommendations as I have no fashion sense.

I would highly recommend to everyone to have their routine eye exam conducted at Eye Care Central. Dr. Vo was very knowledgeable and seemed to genuinely care about finding the best prescription for me to ensure comfort and clarity. He was also very patient and allowed me to explore other prescription types and undergo a trial period. I will definitely return to this clinic for all further eye exams.

After 3 other eye doctors couldn’t figure out my contact fitting issue, Eye Care Central worked extensively to ensure I was fitted with the proper contact and my issue was resolved. This issue was 4 years ago and despite moving to a different part of the city, I still drive over for any eye issues given the great experiences I have had here. They are amazing with eye issues and glasses/contact needs!

I had an urgent need for a new eyeglasses prescription (long story as to why... I won't bore you), and this was the only optometrist I could find in my area (Midtown) that mentioned they accept walk-ins. I showed up just before they opened and was greeted with warm smiles. They were quick to understand my needs and said they'd fit me into the schedule as soon as it was possible. I waited for less than an hour -- which I consider to be remarkable! -- and then they treated me like an old friend. Dr. Vo is one of the most compassionate, caring doctors. He is by far the best OD I have ever been to. My son had an emergency on a Saturday, and when I called the office, they said they were fully booked but to come in and they'd work us in. We waited no more than 10-15 min, and the staff was super friendly, and everyone made my son (who is 8 years old) feel comfortable. When Dr. Vo assessed my son's injury and saw how bad his eye was scratched, he said he needed to put a contact lens patch on it that needed to be removed 24 hours later...but 24 hours later was a Sunday (and the office

Love these guys! The glasses selection is amazing, and the hours are really convenient. I had an eye infection, and my dog somehow chewed up my only spare glasses so I was frantic to get a new pair so I could work- they fit me in on the same day and the pair of glasses was ready the same day too! Can't get better than that!!

I made an appointment on short notice right after my annual physical because my doctor insisted that I get an eye exam to make sure no problems that needed to be addressed were coming along. Great experience at Eye Care Central. Arrived a few minutes early for my appointment and the team was ready for me. Dr. Vo and his team were very thorough and professional. He did a great job with the examination and was more than willing to answer questions, and since I am a nerd engineer and have worn glasses for forty-five years, that is a lot of patience.
They have a very nice selection of frames and lens choices. And the best part for me was my assistant actually offered constructive help when selecting frames. You know I am blind without glasses if I have been wearing them for forty-five

My glasses were so scratched up, I couldn't even see out of one eye, and I needed new lenses very fast, because I had to go on a hiking trip the next week. I came here after reading great reviews, and I'm happy to say other reviewers weren't lying. I got an eye exam as a walk-in pretty much right away, and Dr. Vo and the staff were very friendly and nice. Dr. Vo seemed genuinely interested in getting to know his patients, and I felt comfortable interacting with all of them. My contact lens prescription was expired so I need a quick exam and new disposable contacts within 3 days because I was leaving the country. The optometrist at Costco charges $115 for the exam and Dr Vo only charges $5 more so I decided to stick with him even though it was less convenient for me at the time. I've been coming to Eye Care Central for 3 years. He talked me out of spending a few thousand dollars on LASIK (again) a couple years ago because he said in a few years my eyes would start becoming farsighted due to age and then I might need reading glasses. I've been a patient here for a few years. Dr Vo is excellent - competent, friendly, efficient. Appointments are easy to make, usually on the same day. This afternoon I was in and out for my contact exam in 30 minutes. On busy days like the late December scramble to get the annual exam covered by insurance there can be a bit of a wait, but it's never too bad. The office is clean. They sell frames there but I've always purchased elsewhere and let them fill the lens prescription, which has also been easy and affordable. Overall a win!

I have been going to Dr Vo since I was a teenage, which makes it about 20 years. He has always been friendly and diligent and his staff are always friendly as well.
His price is very reasonable. I recently shopped around for better pricing since I no longer have vision insurance. I live inside the loop and didn't want to drive far. His pricing was by far the lowest for vision check up.

He always makes an effort to connect with his patients and is very thorough in his exams and consultations to the highest of satisfactions. He cares greatly about your eye health and does not rush through the processes even when there is a long line... Not saying he's slow, but is aptly efficient.
He even managed to squeeze in a last-minute walk-in appt for my brother near the end

I was in dire need of an eye checkup. I was mostly postponing it since I had no idea where to go to in Houston. Once my headaches became completely unbearable I searched for an eye doctor near my place and luckily, I was directed here.
I called to make an appointment and confirm that they accepted my insurance. The lady at the phone was very nice and when I came in there was absolutely no wait. I love that they open during the weekends! It is SO convenient.

As someone who isn't the bestest at adhering to the whole annual eye exams thing, I was initially going to relegate myself to a Walmart eye exam. But then, duh, why not peruse Yelp?
This place popped up with a happy overall rating, so I thought why the heck not? Yay Yelp for saving the day. Dr. Vo and his staff are totally legit. As other reviewer have mentioned, they don't try to upsell you on anything, in fact they try to optimize your insurance so that you end up paying the least amount possible (sadly my eye insurance sucks, but thanks for looking into for me Eye Central.).

I'm absolutely TERRIFIED of conveyor-belt eye doctors - the ones who try their damnedest to get you in and out the door (ahem, Wal-mart). The last thing I need is a hurried eye exam and sloppy prescription.

I came to this place two years ago after being dissatisfied with two other eye doctors. Let me just day that Dr. Vo restored my faith in optometrists. He is knowledgable, quick, and overall a great Dr.
The staff is very patient, whether helping you try on contacts or putting up with your deliberations over which frames to get.
They have a decent selection also, with great sale items as well as the latest in designer eyeware. If you are looking for a bargain, it's a good place for frames. The contacts are standard pricing; we just compared a few days ago.
