My husband and I ate here for the first time today. The staff is incredibly friendly and you get a lot of food for not a lot of money.

We made a quick lunch stop here while passing through. Fantastic fried chicken, fresh out of the fryer. So hot we had to wait before we could eat it. If we come this way again we'll definitely eat here. Yum!

I'm a truck driver And I was recommended by a friend to stop at this place while I was in the area it did not disappoint. I've been all over this country and this is by far the best fried chicken I've ever had. It was hot fresh steaming and the red bean and rice did not disappoint. They have this cajun seasoning in the lobby that I Had to try. Once I tasted it I sprinkled it on everything in my bag lol. This place is a gem that should be protected at all costs. I was greeted with smiles and hospitality which is rare nowadays and I really appreciated that it almost made it feel like home

The pictures are not able to do any justice. I was clapping my hands while I was eating its so good the red beans are spicy however that are extraordinary fantastic with meat pcs in it, please please please please don't pass this place the prices are fair.

The cajun fries here are the best I had so far. But the chicken tenders was like raising cane with no season. The service was wonderful and the young lady at the register was very helpful.

One of those local places that hit the mark on your Louisiana fried food standards. Maybe this is a chain? I'm not sure but definitely better than some of the ones that are. There was a lot on the menu, we had a variety from chicken salad to the crab burger. All of it was good.

I love chicken king I love their plate lunch's and I think I only like one worker ! Mrs Paula she's so nice but some of the others aren't so nice their rude and they don't listen to your whole order and they get it wrong !! But other than that everything else is good and it's always clean inside!!

Better than or at least on par with Mama's Fried Chicken and that is saying a lot. Has amazing chicken and some seriously great burgers. They upgraded a while back and the inside is spacious and friendly. Highly recommend.

Had a order of lg. Gizzards w/ff..in my opinion the gizzards were not seasoned BUT they melted in ur mouth.. They were hot and fresh.. The seasoning inside the restaurant worked with the gizzards.. Fries were hot and fresh... Will b back and see how the chicken is..

It's ok but you never get the same quality twice in a row. Order fish basket only got two very small strips in it. Order burger more then once sometimes it's cooked sometimes it isn't don't matter how you order it depends on who is cooking I guess.

I drove out of my way to try this chicken when en route from New Orleans to Pearland. The chicken was great, the gizzards were way too mushy for me, but I'd get the chicken again.

My husband and I were just passing through when we stopped here! The ladies who tended to us recommended what we should eat and we weren't disappointed one bit. The wings were delicious as well as the seasoned fries and rice dressing!

Best chicken in surrounding areas cooks are local and pleasant I personally recommend the butterfly shrimp plate. Everything and I do mean everything is good at the port barre location.
