For over 80 years our region's best engineers have carried an IUOE Local 30 card in their pocket. Local 30 members work in the engineering rooms of the iconic buildings that define New York and Connecticut's culture including the Empire State Building, the Museum of Modern Art, CitiField, Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden, The Hartford Capitol Building and the symbol of America's commitment to freedom - the Statue of Liberty.
The best trained engineers and mechanics carry an International Union of Operating Engineers Local 30 card in their pocket. Our Apprenticeship program is the only New York State Department of Labor certified program in Stationary Engineering. IUOE Local 30 apprentices learn their trade working side by side with the best engineers in the region.
The Local 30 Benefits Fund supports members and their families by providing health care, retirement and other programs. Eligibility for benefits depends on several factors including the collective bargaining agreements that protect members. Local 30 members are encouraged to contact the Fund office with any questions regarding their union benefits.
The Municipal Employees Welfare Trust Fund provides members working for municipal employers a range of benefits. Certain benefits for municipal employees are provided by the City of New York. Health and welfare benefits to members who worked for the City of New York and were members of Local 30. Members who work in the public sector may be eligible to participate in the New York City Employees' Retirement System.
Since 1974 the Credit Union has provided financial services to operating engineers and their families. IUOE Local 30 members have direct, person to person, access to the Northeastern Operating Engineers Federal Credit Union.
