I started handling divorce cases for the San Francisco Bar Association and the Alameda County Bar Association. The focus of my law practice has always been family law. I feel comfortable dealing with these types of cases. I feel a great sense of accomplishment when people's lives are put back together.
This is incorrect. In California there is no preference. Many times, the father will be granted custody because he is more capable of providing for the child's emotional needs, etc. If the parties can not reach an agreement, the parties will attend custody mediation prior to the court hearing. Mediation is mandatory if child custody is in dispute.
Community property is acquired by the parties between the date of marriage and the date of separation. This can include homes, businesses, stocks, frequent flyer miles, furniture, vehicles, etc. If the debt was incurred between the date of marriage and the date of separation, you will actually be responsible for paying one half of it.

So I contacted Mr. Edwards for his services which I rid not retain. Not because I was doubtful only that he told me to do other wise do to my individual case. What he did do was give me great advice on what to do with my case and how to approach on my own. He was very clear and honest in what I should do and at made a lot sense. First off, Bob's receptionist Margarita may come off as sort of mean, however, when she warms up to you, she is very sweet.
Bob, however, is very condescending and judgmental. He always seemed to add his personal opinion or unsolicited advice on my case. Interesting, most people with 5 star has one review only. Personal Experience: he know the judge and likes him, It doesn’t mean that helps, waste of money. After +30 yrs of marriage I needed a divorce attorney. I found Bob during an online search and had a f2f interview. I found Bob personable & he had many years of experience. I reached out to Bob awhile back regarding child custody and move away order. He really knew how to strategize around the case, he gave me excellent guidance with meeting with the mediator (who recommended the move away after his evaluation) and also the court hearings that we had to attend. With his help, I got the move away order. Bob is also very responsive and very professional, his office secretary Margarita was always very helpful.

Bob is good lawyer for divorce case. He have the knowledge. He is pretty straight forward with everything. He tells what not to do so you dont waste your attorney fees. Once you sign up with him, make sure not to call him for small things cuz he will charge for those calls. Only call him when you have urgent thing to talk. All attorneys do this, not just him. Reasonable rate.

I met with Bob Edwards in May 2019 to discuss what needed to be done to dissolve my marriage of 30+ years. Be careful before paying Bob a retainer fee.
I took my divorce case to him and he collected a retainer fee to start working on my case. He collected copied of my bank accounts and my assets. Then, his secretary called me less than a week later for an additional retainer fee, this was even before they even got started on my case. They know I had enough money in my account to pay more. This was a bad start for me and I took my case somewhere else. I never got any refund for my retainer, and they did not send a breakdown for their charges.

The right person for the right job. Bob has been my attorney for close to ten years. In those ten years, my ex-wife tried her hardest to defraud every court agreement she entered into. She is currently on the run from me since she owes me more than $50,000 in reimbursements. Watch out for her and her husband who also defrauded the bankruptcy court. But, bob made sure our son only felt the minimal effect of a bad situation.
