SAS Tax & Accounting was opened in 2004 by Susan A Smith, an Enrolled Agent. Susan started preparing taxes in her home for a small group of clients. She now operates out of an office directly on Hwy 31, with a second location in Millbrook, AL. She couldn't have done it without her amazing clients. SAS Tax & Accounting is honored to be a Small Business of the Year Finalist, three times by the Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce.

As an update for this year I'd like to add that the current staff is not knowledgeable as to the current federal laws of Amending previous years taxes. After my call to set up an appointment was returned THREE days later, I was told that it was to late to amend those years taxes. Knowing that I read differently through the IRS website I scheduled an appointment with a local tax consultant who verified I was able to file the previous years amended taxes as intended. I'm sure it's not commonplace to amend taxes, but to know the tax law is the entire reason we use professionals and
