Cataracts affect more than 20 million Americans age 40 and older. Cataracts occur when the protein clusters in the lens begin to clump together and create a hazy layer that doesn't allow the eye to work as it should. Vision Quest offers cataract removal surgeries in both Dallas and Greenville. Customizable iLASIK plans are based on the patients' needs, and not a one size fits all surgery.
Glaucoma represents why regular eye screenings are needed. Glaucoma generally has little to no early signs or symptoms, which can make it difficult to realize you have the degenerative eye disease. Glaucoma left untreated can cause long term vision loss and result in total blindness. Call one our Eye Doctors today and schedule a comprehensive eye exam in Dallas or Greenville.

Are you searching for a cataract surgeon in the Dallas and Greenville areas? Cataracts, defined as a clouding of the eye lens, is one of the main conditions that leads to blindness in the U.S. today, affecting more than 20 million Americans age 40 and older-a number that is expected to increase significantly over the next 10 years, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Vision Quest is one of the few practices in the Dallas and Greenville areas that offer iLASIK on site. We use only the most advanced technology and iLASIK, unlike most, provides a truly customized treatment. Vision Quest is extremely unique because this technology requires a trained physician. We have two doctors who specifically handle iLASIK, and the procedure can be done within our clinic.
Glaucoma is a degenerative condition that damages the optic nerve in your eye, and is associated with pressure buildup, often called intraocular pressure. Most people experience glaucoma later in life. Inside your eye, the optic nerve is what transmits images to your brain; as pressure builds up over time, eventually it causes you to lose your vision, resulting in total and permanent blindness.

Only exceptional service could inspire this review (because my right arm and hand are immobilized from surgery, leaving me to hunt and peck with my left hand!). But I received truly exceptional service from Erica, a technician at Vision Quest, and I need to acknowledge her and the practice!
I have been going to Vision Quest for several years, so when I developed sharp eye pain and blurred vision following shoulder surgery, and the only advice I got from the hospital was to return, coming to the ER if things didn't improve - and they didn't - I sought advice from Vision Quest's after-hours help

The worst experience here. My mom has been coming here over a year and the staff is always so rude. For one I started coming because she doesn't speak English. Before they hardly even explained things in detailed and would go home comfused.
Today her appt was at 1045, currently 2 PM and still sitting in the lobby. This isn't the first time but they always state "there was an emergency" yeah sure. The only reason I'm still waiting is because I need a referral for her to go somewhere else. This is ridiculous.

Since having to temporarily relocate from Montana to Dallas for our son's heart transplant, I was extremely happy to find this place. My vision has always been terrible since I was about 6 years old. Every optometrist and opthamologist that I have ever encountered has warned me that due to my high myopia and severe astigmatism I am at a very high risk for a retinal detachment. Because of this, I have been very good about seeing eye doctors on a regular basis. I assumed I was getting closer to cataracts, unfortunately, it was my mom's myopic degeneration. Dr. Patel was very professional and informative

Dr. Patel an awesome Ophthalmology DR. evaluated my retina. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable. As I, was move to several testing areas the staff made me comfortable and explained my questions. One problem at the reception area was hispanic man that only spoke spanish. He had way too many questions prior to leaving. Overall my visit at the Doctor's office was exceptional and spoke with many satisfied customers.

Omggg...where do I begin? This place is full of angels.... I mean the entire staff has been so knowledgeable and caring....But let me tell you about my Dr.'s tho. I have such a strong belief in God and I know I was sent to see Dr. Herman he is the absolute most kindest, understanding, caring, and extremely thorough person I have ever meet. He was empathetic to my fear of my diagnosis and refused to leave any stone unturned in my treatment. I wish I could give him and his staff 100 stars. Thank you so much. Ms. Brock-Ross

I have been a patient of Vision Quest, Wesley K. Herman, MD for many years. As a "younger patient" I had no real eye problems but kept up with my "well care". Dr. Herman was always available, professional, warm, friendly, was able to satisfy all of my questions in terms I could understand and always concerned how my vision might affect my day-to-day life. I recently went in for my yearly eye exam to find that I now have some "early" cataracts, slight diabetic changes and, of course, the need for "reading glasses". As usual, he took the time to explain my medical challenges, how this does and will

Doctors were excellent and the front of the house was very people friendly however the wait times for surgery were entirely too long. Their instructions stated 2-4 hours wait time yet the wait time for the first surgery was 7 hours & 10 hours for the second. With no communication to the patients nor to their ride accommodations this was unacceptable! I have recommended that their process and communications be improved.
