If it is your first visit, plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment. You will be warmly greeted and we will assist you with some limited paperwork prior to your meeting with the doctor. Dr. Chong will perform a thorough eye exam and patiently discuss his findings and any concerns you may have.

We recommend that new patients have their eyes dilated. Most visits will last approximately 1 hour. James Chong, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist. He grew up in Houston and graduated valedictorian from Memorial High School. Dr. Chong received his Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology from Rice University and Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine.

Have been going to Dr. Chong for over 10 years and have always been pleased with his efficiency and professionalism. I would like to recognize his staff member Kim in particular. When I was concerned about my upcoming colonoscopy procedure, she was very helpful in easing my mind and offering assistance. I highly recommend this office for any gastrointestinal issues.

I like coming here for my eye exams! Dr. Chong really knows what he's doing! Exceptional doctor. He explains everything well and enjoys his work. Everything is clean and sanitized. Exams are very thorough. Great service! Great office! Great Doctor! It's fun coming here and it's an enjoyable experience! I would recommend everyone to come here and you will not want to go anywhere else!!!!

Did not find him helpful, did not pay attention to my symptoms. Don’t waste you time or money going to him.
Update went to new Specialist who prescribed the right test. After 3 years we might be on the rode to recovery.🤞

I am a new patient of Dr. Chong’s....I like him very much an feel he is trying to resolve my problem.
What is outstanding is all of the office staff..they are so nice an helpful...very competent!!

I am taking my dad to Dr. Chong. I find him to be very knowledgeable and kind, but he does not waste your time or his. He gets to the point and gets to the bottom of your problem. Good doctor who seems to care about his patients. Would definitely recommend.
