We provide professional towing, transport and roadside services in the Blaine, Coon Rapids, Fridley, Spring Lake Park and surrounding communities. In 1976 a Columbia Heights Mobil Gas and Service Station's tow truck broke down. An enterprising painter saw an opportunity, and the first Hooked Up Tow Truck rolled out of that service station.
More than 40 years later Hooked Up Towing is a thriving towing company. It is currently owned and operated by Marty Johnson, the grandson of that enterprising painter from 1976. Starting with a single tow truck to help service one of those shops, just like his grandfather before him, Hooked Up Towing has grown to 7 trucks with plans to add additional ones.

The woman behind the desk was extremely rude. I get that she has to deal with angry people, who have had their cars towed, all day, but I did not go in there angry or yelling by any means! I realized that my car being towed was my bad, and I’m definitely not the type to go and scream at the poor employees for that. However, she was super rude immediately! She essentially scoffed at my boyfriend for trying to find a restroom, not realizing they don’t have a public restroom. I had an issue and stalled out on the freeway this morning, with having to almost block the EZPass / MNPass lane on I35W South. Eric was dispatched to help me and got me out of there in no time, with making sure we stayed safe. I ended up just being out of gas and it was super embarrassing, but Eric helped me make the best of it. I didn’t feel stupid, as we got it filled up at the gas station and made sure I got to work. My car needed to be towed. I called Hooked Up and they had a driver at my house within 20 minutes! I had a dead battery and could not get car in park! He called and they sent out another tow truck!! I will call Hooked Up towing every time I have a towing issue in the twin cities. The super clean truck showed up pretty quickly considering it was a Saturday. The driver Dominic was very professional, and knew his way around a tow truck. All total from the time he got to my car, to when we started to drive away, was under 10 minutes. Very friendly, polite and courteous. I recommend this company to handle any towing needs you might have.
P.s. If this guy isn't at the top of the pay scale, he should be. I would hire this kid in a second. As tow drivers go, he is top notch. He was prompt, clean

Had my car towed with my roadside service and got connected to Hooked Up Towing. They came earlier then was projected which was nice. The driver was nice and made sure it got to where it needed to go. Got my car to the mechanic earlier to get it fixed. If I could use this company again with my roadside service I have AllState I would.

Very shady business. Say they only accept cash but then tries everything in their power to come up with excuses to not take it. They are doing a storage fee scam, one of the oldest scams in the tow book. They then keep your door open so your battery dies then block your car in, and refuse to move it or jump it. The owner/manger then try saying if… my car wasn’t off the property by 5 he’d impound it again and if I parked in any building or street next to the building he’ll impound it. We had our pickup truck stuck in the mud on our dirtbike track in the middle of our property with no road access. The crew that came was incredibly friendly and professional. It was an enormous challenge to even get back to the site of the track and the location of our stuck vehicle. They troubleshooted the terrain, made it safely out there and was able to get our truck out. The crew did an amazing job and I would highly recommend them!!
