The Kendall School (est. in 1931) mission is to provide a nurturing, creative and enriching experience for pre-school age children that encourages positive self-esteem and the eagerness to learn. It also provides an opportunity for children to form strong and supportive relationships with children and adults outside of the home.
The first school experience is essential to help children with independence so that they are well equipped to face the challenges of elementary school. Our program philosophy is guided by the principles of Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP). We work toward fostering the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of children by offering both child directed and teacher directed activities.

Services
The Kendall School understands that children grow and develop at their own pace. We provide an atmosphere that supports the growth of the whole child- the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual child. The Kendall School offers programs for children from ages 2.9 through 5 years on a five-day basis for all children and on a three day basis (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) or two day basis (Tuesday and Thursday) for 3 year old children only. 8:00-8:30 Early Bird Room: If parents need to drop off their children earlier than the regular opening at 8:30 A.M., they are welcome to do so.
It is also an enriching alternative for parents who may want their child to experience an extra year of preschool. For most children, this is a third year of preschool, so stimulation is the key to a successful year. The curriculum in Kendall K is thoughtful, thorough, academic, and creative. It is designed to engage student interest by exploring topics in-depth.
Admission is by personal tour and interview to discuss your childcare needs. To schedule a tour, please call the school between 9:30 and 11:00 or email at your convenience. We encourage parents to bring their child to visit the school in session and we offer tours most days at 10 or 10:30am.
