Born and raised in Sacramento, Dr. Garrett has practiced pediatric dentistry across the United States -- from Hawaii to New York. Family and a love for our Sacramento community inspired Dr. Garrett to build a patient-first practice here. Love the staff here, I've been bringing my son here for a few years and they are honestly the best. They are so great with kids my son loves coming in to see Dr. Garrett. They make the whole experience of dental work a fun experience for kids. I'm grateful to have a dentist who listens to all my concerns and explains everything down to the last detail. Honestly the best pediatric dentist I've ever met.

I honestly suggest everyone reading the reviews before bringing your being kids here. My brother had a lot of trust in this dentist and after the last experience (see photo) he wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and bring his son back.
Now he totally regret that he didn't listen. The other reviews mentioned there same issues we experienced. The crown he placed on came off and now he's refusing to fix it. As a pediatric dentist you should really consider the age group you are working with and be more understanding.

I can't help it but give another review to Dr. Garrett and his team. My two oldest has been seeing Dr. Garrett since 2018 and they love him. My youngest who is now 5 remembers him and is always excited to go in. This is usually not the norm when kids hear about their upcoming appointment to see their dentist.
My daughter needed 3 fillings in one day but instead of rushing to get all 3 done at once, Dr. Garrett and I agreed that we'll see how things go with the first filling. Although it would have been great to have all 3 of her fillings done and situated in

Dr Garrett is truly the best! In mist of all this craziness with the covid 19 and the office being close, I was able to e-mail the dental email address regarding my son's dental emergency and within 10 minutes Dr. Garrett called me to discuss and help as much as he could (this was 930pm) and even sent in a late night prescription for my son. He truly cares about the well being of all his patience.

I really wanted to leave Dr Garrett a good review but I am here to report back otherwise. My daughter had a cavity the size of a pen tip.We saw several dentist for this and ultimately picked Dr Garrett because he seemed the most confident in filling the tooth. His price was higher by 20% but I was willing to spend the additional money because he made me feel confident in the work he was going to provide. The initial filling lasted 3 days. This is the best place for children and parents ever! The office is very organized and beautifully set. All the staff here are amazing. Dr.Garret is the best doctor on earth! My daughter who was previously traumatized and wouldn't open her mouth for even a cleaning, who would cry even at the mention of future appointments and beg me not to take her to the dentist everyday until we're already there. Took my 3 year old son in yesterday as a referral to get his cavities checked out. First dentist appointment somewhere else was horrible. He was crying so much couldn't even get X-rays done however, going in yesterday he was so fine! Took xrays like a big boy, the staff was so friendly, amazing and kind. The dentist office is super clean and super kid friendly. I was in utter shock on how well my son behaved. I was so happy with everything that I wanted to cry. Definitely recommend this place!!

Dr. Garrett is an amazing and caring pediatric dentist! Most people don't understand the impact or importance of choosing a pediatric dentist instead of a general dentist for their children. But I can tell you first hand how important it really is! I have been bringing my daughter here since before she was one and she LOVES to go to see Dr. Garrett. She is three now, and has had to have 2 fillings, Dr. Garrett and his staff made her so comfortable that she loves "getting sparkles on her teeth" (fillings)

Dont go to Dr Garrett EVER! He wanted to do several crowns and root canals on my child who was only 5 years old at the time. When I told him I felt that was a lot of work to do on such a small child with only baby teeth and that I only wanted fillings done. He was not happy with that and said if I didnt agree to all of it he wouldnt do any of it, I took that as he wanted the money more then what was safe and best for my child. I was so taken a back I agreed he wouldnt be touching my child with his ridiculous recommendation of all that work on baby teeth. It would have been several thousand dollars

Supper nice Dentist, great with kids. My Son loved him. We had an issue with my Son's crown. I called to get it fixed and they didn't show any urgency. When I posted a bad review on here, they saw me right away. After the fix, I was handed a letter from Dr. Garrett stating he was no longer able to treat us and referred us to neighboring offices. Kicked out for speaking up. Smh.
Needless to say, after a year, our new dentist found a cavity underneath the crown and we had to replace it. My Son also complained the entire time about the crown being too big on his tooth.

What an amazing place. You walk in and it's completely decked out with bright colors and everything is kid friendly. My immediate thought was man where was this kinda of place when I was a child .
My 6 year old son had a very traumatic experience at a different place so I requested to be sent to another location. My health insurance found this place for me .

My Daughter started seeing De. Garrett when we was 7 (now almost 14) when he was at a larger practice. We were sad when he left, but we're ecstatic to find him again at a community event shortly after. Dr Garrett and staff are always so warm and welcoming. The office is very clean and brightly decorated. Perfect for younger kids who might be nervous. We love supporting a local small practice!!

I'm sad to say that though I had originally loved this place so much, still think it's cool and staff is nice... but I don't think the quality of their work is so nice. I feel very disappointed in the work they had done for my child. I brought up my concerns and felt the dentist responded in a very non genuine manner. My daughter can't event close her mouth normally. After going to her regular dentist, I was reassured that the size of the crowns placed on my child's teeth where too large, not to mention the color difference is so bad that she is embarrassed to smile. sadly

My 7 year old had me do my research before she trusted anyone to work on her mouth :p Many reviews and recommendations later we chose Dr Garrett. We are glad we did! Wait time has only been a few minutes both times we have gone. The visits are always super friendly and quick. Dr Garrett goes over the X-rays and explains the recommended treatments. He showed a few tools to my daughter and even let her hold them. My daughter had to have a capped molar extracted and a spacer put in to keep her surrounding teeth in place for the future permanent molar to grow in. The procedure was very relaxed and

Like all the other reviewers here, my kids and I love Dr. Garrett and all his staff. They provide warm, personalized attention unparalleled to any other dental office. It is evident that they genuinely adore kids. My older kids have gone to another pediatric dental office in the past and they don't compare to Dr. Garrett and his team. They're the best!

We love Dr. Garrett! We first met him at a different office where he pulled my son's teeth for orthodontic purposes. They were done two Xmas breaks in a row. Tough time for a kiddo to get his teeth pulled, but each time, Dr. G made it a fun experience. Let me repeat that. A fun experience. He was hilarious and he just knew how to work with the kids! We had no issues related to the surgery at all!

Dr. Garrett an exceptional dentist who has a genuine compassion for people, especially children. He values his patients which is evident in the way your child and you are treated as soon as you walk in the front door.
My Sam, Fonz and Bella Bean has been under Dr. Garrett's care for 3 years now. My positive impression of him has only grown throughout the years and so has my respect and trust for him. He is like that "Good" uncle we love having our kids around...he is pretty funny, too & most importantly - KIND to my kids. I know that WE will all be sad when that day comes

Went there with 3 of my daughters (5, 4, and 2 years old) and they all liked the place. I like the decor, and they made good use of their limited space. All 3 of my kids were occupied, playing and having fun. Classical music was playing all along, making it a relaxing atmosphere all together. The staff is very friendly, and I am really glad they made it truly a "kids dental." Cleaning and brushing went well, even my 2 year old finally let them do the cleaning. Wow. Dr. Garrett is the most patient, caring and gentle pediatric dentist ever! He sees all 6 of my children ages 1-16 and they refuse to see anyone else.
