Flying Needle Acupuncture is a nod to Kung Fu films, where Taran was first exposed to the practice of acupuncture. One of Chinese medicine's main roots is martial medicine. Martial artists would frequently get injured during training, as well as during combat. In order to keep in peak condition, healing, and self-cultivation techniques, for example, qi gong, developed in tandem with martial arts.
Zang Fu Tui Na is a method of Tui Na that regulates the function of the internal organs (Zang Fu) through direct, and indirect energetic visceral mobilization techniques. As with Classical Tui Na, this work is both diagnostic, and therapeutic. It offers a direct hands-on method of diagnosing organ imbalance while simultaneously fostering profound changes in the body's structure, and function as a whole.
Chinese medicine has a deep understanding of how to approach acute injury/trauma care. This specialty area of focus comes from the martial roots of Chinese medicine and for thousands of years was a closely guarded secret. Taran has had the good fortune to be a student of this aspect of the medicine for the past 6 years.
Incredible healer, you would benefit hugely as an athlete or person from spending some time with Taran. Taran's work is elegant, effective, and from the heart. His approach is holistic from the warm, spaciousness of his treatment room to the precision of his interventions. When I am out of sorts or in pain, Taran is the person I want to work with.
