For the past 25 years, I have been studying and practicing non-invasive, drug-free ways to help my patients heal themselves, and to improve their health and overall well-being. My methods of working with patients combine unique complementary approaches designed to set the course for whole body healing.
We practice Whole Systems Traditional Chinese Medicine (WS-TCM), a balanced approach to treatment and prevention of illness. Acupuncture, practiced by a certified acupuncturist using fine, sterile needles, is a low-risk treatment for wellness, fertility, reproductive health, and a multitude of common conditions.

When your acupuncturist inserts a needle, your body responds by initiating pain relief, immune function, and hormonal balance. Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (FMRI) studies have shown that acupuncture stimulates the central nervous system. The needle may affect the area in which it is inserted, or may affect a part of the body far from the needle insertion point.
The Acupuncture Healing Center's Community Acupuncture provides affordable and effective therapy for a wide range of health issues. Community Acupuncture appointments are currently being done in a private room. They are scheduled for 45 minutes with a more focused intake and a one sided treatment typically done face up.

Carmela is an incredibly gifted healer. I came to her 3 months ago barely able to eat any foods - I had Lyme Disease and RMSF twice in the past, Bartonella just recently, and ALPHA-GAL (red meat allergy + dairy too for me) to boot. Carmela began with individual NAET allergy treatments to desensitize me to basic foods again, and I was among her first patients to receive the SAAT treatment for ALPHA-GAL and Mast Cell Activation. It has been life-changing - I can eat almost anything now, and the sudden inflammation that forced me to give up my life-long hobby of running is now much improved as well

I went to see Carmela based on a friend’s recommendation. I had a litany of issues related to systemic inflammation. Carmela was very patient and kind. I appreciated that she treated me based on a holistic view of my medical history. One issue was related to my shoulder - I went to her in such pain and barely able to lift my arm. After one session, my mobility improved - and by a few days later, I was almost pain free! I've posted before on Carmela's amazing acupuncture that has virtually eliminated my pain and improved my quality of life. But now I want to rave about Hannah's organic facials! Not only a delightful, relaxing experience (with a foot massage!), but my skin is so much more hydrated and glowing. AND, most importantly, my eczema has greatly improved. After 72 years of having normal blood pressure, in January of 2020 it decided to go on a wild ride. My PCP wanted to start me on medication but I opted to visit Cholena for acupuncture and oriental medicine treatment. Within three weeks of acupuncture and a no side effects oriental medication, my blood pressure was back under control and has remained so. My PCP was pleased and amazed as am I. I have been seeing Cholena for many years. I originally started to see her when I could not get rid of colds and flu. The symptoms would hang on for months. Her treatments would shorten the whole process. In the last several years, I see her for cold and flu prevention. I usually get treated once per month during the cold season and it has worked to greatly reduce the number of colds that I get. I have even made it through the whole cold season completely healthy. I would highly recommend her treatments.

I wanted to let everyone know how much Carmela has improved my health. I had been suffering for over a year with chronic ankle pain and so after visits to two doctors who couldn't help, I started working with Carmela. After three weeks of treatments, I was able to start biking and walking regularly without pain.

I think Carmela Mager is a natural healer and a good diagnostician. I came to see her for arthritis in my feet. For the last 5 or 6 years, it's been very painful to do anything physically active and my big toes have lost flexibility. Working with Carmela I have regained some of my flexibility and am once again able to do activities without eating NSAIDs or going for cortisone shots.
