Dr. William Huffard, more commonly known in the community as "Doc", founded Huffard Animal Hospital in 1965. We began as a 4,500 square foot brick building in the same location where we still practice today. Upon his retirement, Doc passed the practice on to Dr. Bruce Goldman in 1991. Dr. Goldman has worked at Huffard Animal Hospital since 1984, and has instilled his family values to our entire team ever since.
Vitus Vet offers you full access to your pet's medical records and enables you to share important information with multiple vets as well as with your family and friends. You can even request an appointment through the app and create reminders for visits, medication dosages and more. I don’t usually write reviews but today I have time since I’ve been waiting over 40 minutes to have my dog get a nail trim. I always thought I was coming during peak hours and that’s why the wait times were so long but it’s Thursday in the middle of the afternoon. This place doesn’t allow you to make appointments either for nail trims so you have to wait regardless. It’s just unfortunate that this is the closest place near me. The staff are nice but clearly they’re understaffed. I ended up leaving because waiting almost an hour for a nail trim is pretty ridiculous. Management should

My first time here and the experience was amazing! Excellent costumer service from the moment that I called until my visit was over everyone was so welcoming and attentive, Dr.Hu was incredibly helpful. The price was really good compared with other places. I definitely recommend this place and will be our regular vet!

I took my Schnoodle baby to his first appointment today with Huffard and I must say I am VERY pleased with our experience!! We had the best visit ever. Kelly and Dr. Carpenter were so patient with us and very informative. All of our questions were answered and they done amazing giving my baby his shots. I think we have found our forever vet!!

This is the best veterinarian place in Baltimore!! I have a toy poodle and a pit bull. My toy poodle was having an issue with a lump on his head and they took care of him with such a genuine and loving attitude that I said I would start bringing both of my animals here from now on!! They are so good with them and treat them as if they are their own!!

We've been customers of Huffard for years. Last night at 7pm our beloved 14 year old cat suffered a devastating stroke. The team at Huffard allowed us to bring him immediately, regardless of their closing in an hour. They showed such compassion and care as we euthanized our cat. Their gentleness will not be forgotten.
