Every day tasks are becoming harder (going up and down stairs, household chores, getting around by foot, seeing friends and family in person). My improved strength, confidence, and balance has allowed me to keep up with the grandchildren and stay active hiking, biking and kayaking.

At Team Howell, we know what it feels like to have a busy life and still find the time and energy to take care of your body. With more than 18 years of combined experience, we've worked with and helped hundreds of clients just like you get in shape and start living the life they deserve. I've always wanted to be stronger but never had the commitment to make it happen on my own. Finally in my mid-60's I knew I had to do something to keep myself strong and healthy as I age. I’ve always struggled to maintain a healthy weight and focused on a combination of restrictive diets as well as beating my body up via high impact training such as running, Crossfit, and other types of group fitness classes. Whenever I’d loosen up my diet, I’d gain weight along with much frustration in the process. I thought I was not capable of doing strength training but with the patience and coaching of Mike and Cassy I now have better balance, I'm much stronger and myself confidence has grown. If I can do this "YOU" can do this too!

I am new to area and I was looking for a trainer/gym for my workouts. I was throughly impressed by the facilities and the philosophy they have at the gym. If you want to get stronger and keep that strength as you get older this is this place you need to be. Their workouts allow you to build your overall strength by setting weekly benchmarks. Furthermore , their top priority is your safety while lifting, which allows you to efficiently gain strength properly with little risk of injury. Highly recommended

After about two decades of sitting at a desk and eating my meals in the car on the way to meetings I had become overweight, tired and weak; suffering from back pain and arthritis in my shoulders. I spent my 20’s and 30’s doing endless hours of cardio, running my body into the ground trying to lose weight and “get in shape”. I found myself losing and gaining the same 10 pounds over and over again, while dealing with numerous overuse injuries like shin splints, tendonitis, and hip problems. Does your gym notice when you're not there? Mine does. Does your gym coach personally look you in the eye and ask you what YOU need? Mine does. Does your gym care enough to message you the next day after a workout to see how you're feeling? Mine does. I am early 80's have had some surgeries & joint replacements. Because of extended recovery & restrictions, etc. lost a lot of strength, got the old guy wrinkly look. Working with Howell Fitness helped me regain strength & muscle tone. I can keep doing the outdoor pursuits I enjoy. Mike & Cassie are great teachers & communicators!

All levels and all ages welcome! No pressure and no crowds. I'm the reserved, introverted type and I'm more then comfortable while working out all hours of the day, 24 hour gym. Mike and Cassie have the knowledge and experience to get you started, get you past your plateaus, and make you stronger in all areas of life. I've watched this facility evolve, and I've evolved with it. I've never been healthier or stronger! Howell Strength and Conditioning is the most unique facility in Winona, with boxing upstairs also. I utilize all areas of the gyms and am living proof that this facility produces results
