The Chinese Acupuncture & Herbs Center has proudly served the Pittsburgh community since 2001, delivering professional, friendly, and holistic care. The husband and wife team of Cheng "Charley" Yang, L.Ac., and Xuan "Maggie" Liu, L.Ac., have been treating patients with an extensive range of acute and chronic conditions, from pain management to weight control.
We have used our extensive training from China in Traditional Chinese Medicine to help individuals of all ages to overcome injury and imbalances, allowing clients to reach and restore optimum health. In addition to acupuncture, we employ other medical and health enhancing treatments including electric stimulator, acupressure, auriculotherapy, Chinese herb treatment, energy lamp and cupping.

Stress, anxiety, and depression are the same problem with different faces. As social and emotional beings, we experience conflicts in our lives, as well as positive and negative influences in our interactions. Emotional issues can manifest on the physical level in digestive problems, insomnia, high blood pressure, or even heart disease.
Depending on your precise condition, you will meet with either Charley or Maggie. During your first visit, we will discuss your comprehensive health history and relevant issues. Because we treat the whole person, not just your symptoms, we want to know who you are and how you feel physically and emotionally, in order to better understand how we can help you.
We had had difficulty for many years and although we combined Acupuncture with fertility treatment we truly believe that it was the acupuncture that did it! During an acupuncture treatment, specialized acupuncture needles, about the size of a thick hair, are inserted at points of the body's energy pathways. Patients may experience different energetic sensations, such as warmth or pressure. Many patients describe the sensation as an unfamiliar, but pleasant and relaxing feeling.

I went to Charley Yang for Trigeminal Neuralgia and crohn's disease. I noticed relief with my Neuralgia very quickly, though it was not cured, I did feel better. However, acupuncture, and I would say specifically this location, was amazing. I had a total out of body experience and would highly recommend this type of medicine to anyone. Specifically Charley Yang as he made things easy and relaxing. Never before and never since have I been so relaxed. I can't wait to go again.
